I was at this Home Depot on Tuesday, March 25th, 2014, needing assistance in the kitchen faucet area, and it was my extremely lucky day. "Joyce" ("They call me the Faucet Queen") was working. I explained my issue with my Moen faucet and she knew exactly what the problem was. It appeared that I had lost the Allen screw holding the hot/cold water knob tightly in place, since the knob was rattling around. Joyce took down the display faucet, showed me exactly what the problem was, removed the Allen screw, and gave it to me! I got home, looked at my faucet, and the screw was there, but it was very loose. But because Joyce had given me that screw, I was able to, without any hassle, find the correct Allen wrench. Using a mirror in very tight quarters (this faucet is in place), I was able to tighten it up, and voila! So I hopped in my car and took the screw back to give to Joyce but I couldnt find her this time. I wanted to tell her "thank you". So, this is my public way of doing so. She was just awesome.

I purchased a room ac unit from the Folsom store. Parts and the MANUAL were missing. The warranty agency was of no help since I didnt have the manual or parts numbers. Called the Folsom store and they went through all of their boxes and found many to have parts missing,I now had the numbers. I then called the Placerville store and was able to give them the parts numbers and was then to call the warranty agency as they insisted. To my surprise that agency was closed for the day despite claiming to have 24 hr. service. I drove to the Placerville store ( a 36 mile trip) and cannibalized several boxes to get an intact unit. The warranty agency was an obstruction. I live in Georgetown...a good distance away.

Went to check out and the staff became extremely rude in regards to my veterans discount. First the validity of it was questioned, then they needed a manager approval for the 70 dollars of the discount. Once the manager arrived he was then cautioned as I was agitated after having my service to my country questioned by two older cashiers. He appeared me and questioned the situation and found that I questioned the need for his presence for a discount of 70 dollars for something as routine as a veterans discount. Essentially this home depot fails at customer awareness or service as I have made similar large purchases and have never had this level of difficulty.

This is about the Home Depot Rental service. I called in advance to find out the price and availability of their insulation blowing machine. I was told the rental was $50, but that it was free with the purchase of 20 bales. I already had the material but I needed the machine. I drove all the way up there to find out that they DONT rent the machine even though one was available. Its a loaner machine strictly for use when insulation is purchased from them. I had to drive all the way from Placerville to Folsom where they DO rent the machine. This is another example of the mindset of Home Depot; they are not focused on the greater needs of their customers.

I called HD, yesterday for information on portable air conditioners-The phone was answered by a man by the name of Jose-Jose was very patient and informative-I came into the store today and Jose just happened to be working, thank God-I have never had a better experience while spending my money-Jose patiently took the air conditioners over to the outlet, plugged them in and we waited-We tried out three units, settling on the last one-Jose couldnt have been more helpful and informed-He even carried the unit to my waiting truck-Jose Mairena went over the top-Excellent employee !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Home Depot has some of the most unprofessional, rude employees I have ever witnessed, although they do usually have what I am looking for , even when I have to find it myself often getting lost like a little child lost at Nordstroms. When it comes down to having to find someone who works there, they often sigh and roll their eyes as if its an inconvenience for a paying customer to ask them for help finding something, which I believe is what they are being paid to do. I would much rather shop at a local business such as True Value or Tractor Supply Company.

Horrible service. I called to get a price on a swamp cooler and waited on hold for 15 minutes only to get the same operator over and over again. She was rude and told me she couldnt find anyone to help. She told me I could go on-line to get a price and I explained I wouldnt have called if I could go on-line. She then said "well, I guess I cant help you ", so I told her Ill go to Lowes instead and she said "ok" and hung up! Im going to Lowes.

The Home depot in placerville was out of pine..they never have anything in stock a 1×4×8 is most common and didnt have it. My dad Phil depends on them and we live 40 minutes away. He had to go to Lowes which is an hour from there. They were out of carts for drywall since they were filling the shelves and the one lady said well I dont buy them. All the drywall was damaged. They seriously need to close down. I wish I could do no stars.

Very horrible free carpet install experience. Said they would install the carpet Friday and cancelled and pushed it back to sunday between 8 and 10. Emailed us saying they wouldnt be able to arrive until 11 to 1. 5 o clock in the evening rolls around and still no one has shown up. Definitely not the place to go for any kind of flooring/installation!

This is by far the best Home Depot around! Their workers seek you out to help you! Ive been in hundreds and yes hundreds of home repair stores throughout the western United States from Colorado through Texas including Alaska, this store has the best service of any of those stores any store you will go to in Sacramento!

I like this store, but dont ever call for info! I called about carpet/tile installation and I guess I boar the girl, because every time I talked or asked a question she just yawn, really, like over 10 times in less than 5 min. It was really over kill on the yawning. Come on, learn phone etiquette!

Looked for associate to help. Found no one. Asked cashier question. She didnt know but called someone to come. Waited and waited. Finally manager came and ask if there was anyone working in that dept. Didnt help or even offer to but walked away. So I did too.

Asked 4 different employees for help to get a laundry sink from the 3rd shelf and after waiting for 15 minutes no one tried to help. At checkout clerk offered to get a manager who would make it right. I left wondering how long I would have waited for that.
