I have been to almost every motorcycle store around and have seen good and bad sometimes at the same place. I Just recently lost my Harley virginity. I have my spot marked in the driveway and all ready got the almighty harley on the flat bed parade through the neighborhood out of the way so I figured I better go get the idiot questions out of the way at the parts counter..I showed up 10 minutes before closing time with a list of I dont knows and expected to get myself shown to the door with maybe a few parts ordered for a 96 dyna...Well, 30 minutes after closing time, 2 trips out to the bike,(nothing seems to be stock anymore on it) 2 people elbows deep in books and me blowing out questions every chance I got,,I left with everything I needed including a butt load of knowledge and ideas and felt bad for keeping them so late but VERY satisfied and actually relieved with the help and service I got at the counter by a fellow named mike and sorry but i cant remember the other name.. now granted, They may have smelled the money going to be spent watching me roll in with a 1996 bike but they did there best to make sure my return trip would not be for the same problem and that is something really hard to find, especially in the east bay. I am not knocking any of the other Harley stores around as I have not been to any of them but comparing to the "Other" breed stores around here these guys way excel in attitude and service..Prices? could have beat most on the net but would still be questioning if i got the right part and if the right direction was taken to avoid the flatbed parade again....thanks guys p.s. the only thing at the moment that had to be ordered was a maintain book and a special brake kit to satisfy my request..upper end gaskets, special bolts and washers not found anywhere else, caliper rebuild kits, exhaust gaskets(and of course the NEEDED extra chrome parts) and a bunch of answered (gobuyyourselfabook) questions were all in stock 30 minutes after closing time..It seems like most other places will take 3 days to get your spark plugs shipped...;-) Hoping this doesnt promote after hours shopping,,COLBURN :-)

Yesterday I went to Oakland Harley to meet my son. He is a former sport bike rider and Ive convinced him to give that up and come to the light and go Harley. I own two at this time. He has been In this dealer a number of times and knew what he wanted. The bike was simple a black roadglide, no additional paint cost for the color. He wanted black 14" handlebars and black ehaust with black slip on pipes and a highflow air cleaner. They wanted $4,961 for these add-ons. With a total out the door price of right at $32,000 for 2017 Glide. I made a offer of $28,000 cash today out the door on a bike that wasnt even in stock at this time. They wouldnt move off their price. The sales manager said he could sell these bikes at this price according to his salesman, not willing to even make a counter offer. But they were making a offer to sell one of their overstocked 2016s which arent moving. I can see why with their prices. We will get a new 2017 black roadglide which is what he wants, but I dont see Oakland Harley in the picture. When I came into the Oakland dealership I had 8 other of my Club Members with me, some that had bought bikes from this location. Additionally, Im going to buy another HD but I want a new CVO RoadGlide, which they arent making this year, Ill wait, I did buy my current RoadGlide from this location just three days prior to this owner taking possession. Im from Oakland and I always try to buy Oakland first. Im with The Iron Souls MC Oakland and we are a Harley only motorcycle club. I wasnt going to write this review until I read some of your older posted reviews. I wanted the owner to know what his sales manager said and if this represents the policy of Oakland Harley Davidson. I needed some minor electrical enhancements done. Something that I couldnt do myself cleanly, but something a pro could do. I also had an unreliable battery that was giving me VINERR messages when trying to cold start. They gave me an honest estimate and let me know the situation involving battery warranties (its apparently somewhat political with how dealerships work with the parent Harley company about battery warranties). Later that day I got a call from the mechanic that one of the wires appeared to be smashed and separated, and needed to be re-soldered. I forgot that I did that myself when trying to install it, and he let me know itd be an extra 20 minutes of labor to fix my mistake. Never before have I had a mechanic phone me to ask permission to go 20 minutes over the original estimate. Thats a pretty honest mechanic. Anyway the bike was done the next day. When I got the bill, not only did they not bill for the extra 20 minutes, the total cost came in under the original number I was given. And they covered my battery replacement under the warranty. Tire pressure restored, bike was clean and shiny, levers and throttle all felt smoother and well-oiled. The service department went above and beyond, it seems. Would definitely come back.

I stopped here for the first time after breaking a clutch cable, being close to work thought I would pay the extra dealer cost just to have it in my hand and get it done. What a mistake! When I approached the desk and asked for a cable 3-4 inches over to accommodate my taller bars the guy behind the counter said"you dont want stock?" and proceeded to roll his eyes. He promptly told me it was not in stock. I asked if he knew the lengths of stock cables that might be long enough to work. After he looked at me with a confused look I explained into more detail and informed him of the stock length of my cable after watching him fumble through numerous books he finally told me it was not worth the hassle dealing with guys who "modify" Harleys. Wow,just wrong on so many levels! I have more miles backing up to the curb of the local pub than this dude has going forward and hes going to tell me what I should do with my own bike? If the guy would have just brought me a couple cables with the right ends I would have just used the tape measure I brought and bought one but that was too much work for him. Save yourself the eye roll and stupid comments,go somewhere else.

Phenomenal Dealership and Personell. Stopped in on our way through. Asked question about route to Yosemite. The manager gave us directions for a great route and printed them out for us. As it was a hot day, he even gave us a bottle of cold water! Wow, have never been treated as nicely in any HD dealership ever! We ended up staying over an hour talking to the staff there and it was a very memorable hour spent with spectacular people. The dealership itself is beautiful. Tremendous selection of bikes, new and used, parts and apparel. Awesome dealership that one can only recommend. Five stars, Raul, Liesl, Kyle, and team!

Bought a new Street Bob there a couple weeks ago. The sales team was excellent. I walked in about an hour before closing, and the process ended up holding a few of the guys 2 hours after closing, but never one single complaint from the guys. Bob was my sales guy, took the time to show me multiple bikes in my price range, but was never pushy, really cool guy. Big Mike was able to meet the monthly payments that I asked for. All in all it was a great experience. Im bringing my bike in for service soon, so Ill get to see how they do. If the service team is as good as the sales team, OHD will be my go to for a long time.
