Love this place! Owner Dan Schmink is always so friendly and has interesting comments on so many books. Small, intimate shop with limited stock, but he will order anything you want. Love the selection of books for children. Take my grandchildren there every time they visit. I do not mind paying the sticker price when the experience is so . . . uh . . . literary! The human contact enriches the anticipation of reading the book. Amazon can not match that!

Once upon a time...the way tales should start, there were many bookshops like Lido Village Books. A human being ordered the books, shelved the books, read the books, recommended the books. Small space, particular collection, a sense of quality driving taste. And so does Lido, still. It is a delight to discover the particular in a wonderful setting by the harbor of Newport Beach. A place on your spiritual map on SoCal.

this bookstore is the greatest!! Its quaint and nestled in at the Lido Marina Village so if you stop by theres a bunch of other cute stores surrounding it. The staff is knowledgeable on all different kinds of books and make great recommendations :)

Books!Books!Books! Its tucked away in Lido Marina Village, its adorable, its cute. They also have great people working there. If you need a book, just something random they have everything from maps to novels to kid books. Definitely recommend!

Excellent bookstore. We visit every time were in Newport Beach. Dan really knows his books, has both a current and classic inventory as well as magazines and newspapers. Dan also likes to hear about what youve been reading. Stop by!
