I live less than 2 miles from this store & made it a "ritual" to visit once a week to buy my favorite magazines & 2 or 3 books. On my LAST visit, I was harrassed, spied on, & talked down to. What you need to know about me, is that I have cancer of the liver, & I will not survive it. I have chosen to spend my remaining time enjoying what I love the most & that is reading. Because of my illness I need to carry around an emergency piece of medical equipment, a type of pump. Its about the size of say maybe a toaster oven. For ease & comfort, I carry it in an over the shoulder, "shopper" type tote bag. On this visit, I did what I do EVERY week. I got a hand basket & browsed. I picked up 5-7 books, went to sit on the benches among the other shoppers, & skimmed to see which ones I wanted to buy. After 45 minutes I noticed that one female employee had been at the magazine rack directly in front of me for quite some time, reading a magazine. I thought she was on her break. 20 minutes later when I looked up again, she was still there, same magazine in hand. It was then that I realized, she was watching me! ( no one else was around so I know it was me she was watching) . I made my choices of which books I would be buying & as I do every week, I started to get up to put back the books I wouldnt be buying. Thats when she became "flustered". She dropped her magazine on the bench & said, " Are you all done with those? Just leaveem there & Ill take care of them for you." I told her no, I wasnt finished & Id take care of them. I walked down one aisle to put the first book back & when I turned the corner she almost knocked me over! She was walking that fast to catch up to me! She didnt say anything, just stood there & watched me put the book onto the shelf. At this point the phone rang & I could see she was torn as to what to do! The phone won. Thats when I decided I was done with this store & put ALL my books back. As I was putting the last book back, a different female employee began to run, yes RUN towards the corner I was about to turn. I decided to turn back instead & was going to leave by the opposite exit. By now I could hear her frantically running back & around, looking for me, thinking I was hiding from her maybe? I calmly exited the store & then BOOM! She crashes the door open & was yelling for me to come back. I walked to her. She said that I needed to come back into the store. I asked her why? She said I had to show her where all the books I had in my basket now were. I told her to ask the other gal because she followed & watched me put them back. She then said that I still needed to come in, but refused to say anything as to exactly why. I told her I didnt like being "babysat" while I was reading & she still kept saying I had to show her where each book I had, now was! I asked her if she was accusing me of theft & she said, "then show me where you put them." At this point I was more than irked. I said, " I will say this one more time. Your employee watched me put my books back. If she says otherwise then she is not telling the truth! Furthermore, you have cameras up all around the store, why dont you just watch those? " She then said that if I didnt go w/ her she was going to call security. I said go right ahead, Ill wait right here. She didnt move or say a word, so I turned around & headed for my car. She then yelled out, "you are no longer welcome at this store!" I dont think she realized I had already made that decision for her! I will never use that store again & neither will any of my family or friends! * I apologize for the length of this, but it had to be told! Thanks to those of you who stuck it out until the end!! * :-)

Absolutely terrible experience the sales person by the name Matt should not be working he is completely disrespectful, not only disrespected me once but twice. My 2 year old child was looking at some toys and grabbed a push car toy that someone had left out of an open box and he got angry at me and told me she shouldnt had tested the toy.My child was supervised by my husband and I in all times! I hope the store reviews a live recording of the whole situation!!

This Barnes and noble is tucked away in the Woodbridge shipping center. For a while I called it the stealth badness and noble because even though I lived close there are only indicators it is there if you are walking or driving from one direction in the surrounding roads. The staff are courteous and helpful. They have a decent level of manga and have lots of places to sit and skim perspective books.

I am looking for an attorney. I was asked to leave the property after asking store associate Alex a question about the store policy to plug my cell phone into the wall. Alex called the police. She said she didnt feel comfortable asking about the store policy. I was asked to leave the Barnes and Noble at the Irvine Spectrum also for a strange.

Great little community bookstore! I know its a chain, but this B&N really serves the local community well. Its a great place to hang out while waiting for a movie or a table at Rubys.

This is our little neighborhood book shop, even tho its B&N, really helpful staff and always a chair to sit & read, never crowded and almost always have the books we are looking for.

My favorite B&N, great deletion (for the size), friendly staff, and rarely packed. Downside is that theres no cafe but I rarely go to that anyways.
