More of a poverty kind of environment and I almost got ran over as a pedestrian. The parking lot can be really crazy in the daytime. The best time to go is in the evening time but if you go anytime after 9 they have tons of boxes and stocking that they have to do at night. And so you have to navigate through everything. The downside about going at night. Is theres kind of some weird people. And a little bit of panhandling but they pretty much leave you alone. Ive had to deal with two of the managers there and everyone is very nice. For the most part its a good place to go to. Im just not a huge fan of Walmart. In general because I dont feel they take care of their employees. Lets face it theres a huge difference between Raleys verses Walmart. And youre paying for better service. Because the same item that I get at Raleys is twice as much and I can get the same thing at Walmart for half!!! So if you have a budget, Walmart is the place to go. I really recommend a lot of their generic products. Especially their face washes and body soaps. Are comprable to a more expensive brand. And they are exactly the same thing. I usually shop here bi-weekly. When my children were in diapers there generic overnight diapers are the best.

We find a decent assortment of stock items here, though, of course, not everything available that we want to buy. It appears to be a popular shopping destination for many locals which creates crowded aisles at times. This means longer lines at checkout points. On separate visits, items weve certainly purchased made it to the checkout bagging carousel but oddly never made it out of the store for our trip home. The wife and I do apply efforts to be sure we go home with our purchases but sometimes we forget to check the carousel before we exit the store. So..we think were driving home with all purchases but theres occasional items still hidden in bags taking another carousel ride to who-knows-where...? Im certain were not the only victims of losing purchased merchandise to a flawed carousel bagging system.

Store is always poorly stocked. Certain brands are off the shelves for weeks. The fresh meat is good quality and reasonably priced. Overall, if youre looking for savings, go to Neighborhood Walmart for meat, bakery & household items ( like paper towels & toilet paper) & frozen food items,then go to Cost Less Foods for the rest. Cost Less produce is much cheaper, better quality & always in stock. I cannot tell you how many times I went to Neighborhood Walmart to buy shelf items like condiments or a brand of coffee only to find that product missing from the shelf week after week. Neighborhood Walmart needs to do a better job stocking their shelves and price checking their competitors.

This is the Worst sorry excuse for a Grocery store hands down that Ive Ever been to in my life !!!* They Are Constantly Out of stock in Everything all over the store, whoevers job duty it is to re-order & keep merchandise on this stores shelves Seriously Needs To be Fired cause theyre just Worthless & are somehow getting a paycheck for not doing a damn thing !!!** Every time I go to this store theres ghetto ass people and fu#@in huge lines that take forever & a day to checkout in.. SoOooo its pretty sad but theres obviously Nothing good whatsoever to say about this store so just beware if your gonna attempt to go shopping there... ! You Were Warned !°•~

This Walmart looks so small from the outside but the inside is huge, it has a lot of foods, fruits, candy, and medicine if you need to get some. The prices are almost better than anywhere else around it. Theres a lot of people outside loitering and it makes it feel like a stereotypical Walmart and I cannot find an employee around to assist me in the store. Besides for that its a nice place to shop, I will definitely return.

Every 6 months I leave this store wondering why I returned again. I know this location is supposed to be a convenience to the area, but I end up going to another store because they either are out of stock or dont carry the product I especially went in to purchase, how is great value breakfast sausage not usualy stocked at this walmart, and this has to be where they employ all the other locations applicant rejects

Generally busy location with minimal sized isles. Unable to maneuver thru store without bumping into someone. Produce selection is sparse and overpriced. Many items often out of stock. Closest grocery store for a few quick items keep me going back. Otherwise, I prefer to do major shopping at a larger well stocked chain. Overall, friendly and efficient service makes up for lack of stock and conastant chaos.

In a hurry? On a budget? SKIP IT! Strictly groceries here. Limited selection. Higher prices compared to the other Wal-Mart stores in Modesto, which offer "Price match" to local ads. When I asked about the substantially higher prices, the manager said: "Because of its small scale, you pay for the convienience it offers." Long, slow moving lines and those prices are an inconvenience to me!

I love this store. I do all my grocery shopping here and I never have a problem finding what I need. The shelves are always stocked, the prices are affordable, the produce section is actually good, and the employees are polite and helpful. I would recommend this store, the Neighborhood Market, over the other, larger ones, especially if youre just going for food and other necessities.

It would be nice to know ahead of time that store hours changed from 5am - 12am. No signs posted, no notice of upcoming change. I shopped in store at 5am less than a week ago, arrive at 5am this morning and notified the hours were changed to 6am. Shopping times seem to get less convenient at this store as time progresses.

This is the closest grocery store to my home, so I do all of my grocery shopping here. They keep the shelves stocked pretty well, and the store stay pretty clean considering some of the stores "people of Walmart" visitors. I would have given it 5 stars if they had more registers and a better parking lot.

This place has cheap prices but very little selection. There isnt a whole lot of options if youre trying to eat healthy (ry-krisp crackers, multi-grain chips, hummus, etc) and fruit and veggies are hit and miss. The prices on staples are the best though!

Not enough cashiers.. always long lines and only 2 registers open.. self check out is worse, because when so busy ppl are checking out with cart loads of items. Store is clean and stocked way better than when it first opened..

Very good prices... customer service at any Walmart in this town isnt very good. Half the time the employees seem like theyre brain dead... most of the time they havent restocked the shelves. Its convenient but irritating.
