A wonderful experience. Every year my two children and I visit Stein Optometric for an annual visit. This has been an end of the year checkup ritual that we have routinely done for the past 10 years. First, the appointment date doesn’t get made unless Judy is available to help us with our frame choices, appropriate lens updates, and my flex spending account assistance. We consider Judy as part of our family and trust her recommendations and rely on her support. My son was seen by Dr. Nathan Au, my daughter by Dr. Michael Drabinsky and I was seen by Dr. Stein’s son Dr. Jonathan Stein. Each of us described our experience as professional, pleasant and informative. Each doctor provided special attention to our questions and explained in detail any changes to our prescriptions. Their collective attention provided to each of us made us feel comfortable and their personal interest in us made us feel very appreciative of the time they spent. We never felt rushed and came away with the satisfaction of a thorough exam and frames and services we were pleased with. I highly recommend Stein Optometric to anyone who wants to receive personal service of the highest standards.

Since my personal experience at Stein was so positive, I switched my kids from one of the most popular pediatric opthamologists in the Southbay to Stein Optometric. Both of the kids had a terrific experience there. The office staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Stein Jr. was very patient and explained each step in the exam to the kids very clearly so they were not intimidated by the equipment or the exam itself. He was also happy to answer my questions and even asked if I had any questions for him! Our previous provider was usually in a hurry to move on to the next patient and didnt explain much. After helping the kids pick out new frames, the office staff even gave them each a choice of cases for their old glasses (the cases that came with those fell apart) at no charge. Its nice to find a service provider who is truly willing to go the extra step and provide excellent care as well as customer service. If you need optometric care, Stein Optometric is the place to go!

recently was referred there by my HMO I had my eyes checked ( no dilation, they said I needed to see another eye Dr. for that) then they wanted me to pick out new frames when I said I wanted to use the same frames they tried again to get me to chose their frames but I insisted. Within 24 hours I had the new lenses and at the same time left a second pair of glasses to have new lens reset in them. After 5 days of headaches I paid out of pocket to go see my old (before HMO) eye doctor and had my eyes re-examined. Big difference and they did the dilation, glaucoma, and check my eyes completely for less than the $84 I paid to have Stein do the second set of glass. Oh well, my bad. Wasted money because those glasses will need to go to the old place and have the proper lightweight, scratch resistant lenses put in. Will not be returning to Stein

My entire family have been patients and customers here for many years and we really love this place! It has both the personality of a great neighborhood practice with the convenience of a shopping mall (i.e., open 7 days a week, late hours and easy parking). From the staff in the front to the optometrists in the back, everyone is wonderful. Dr. Jon Stein is exceptional, using a number of different tests and measurements to synthesize the perfect prescription. The store carries some of the best brand frames around, at a variety of price points from the more popular to the very high end. I also really appreciate their selection of kids frames, with so many great looking choices that my kids always look and feel stylish in their glasses.

This was my second trip to Stein Optometrics. I had a nice experience the first time and wondered if they are still as pleasant. I needed a new pair of sun glasses; I remembered they have the best selection and any style, also the latest in designers to suit any taste. They have a great staff of doctors, professional, cheerful and answered all my concerns I had with aging eyes, and of course the prescription for my new glasses. They even had someone truly talented and experienced assist you in choosing the right style for your face and budget. The technician who is brilliant, tweaks the glasses to suit your level of comfort. A truly satisfied customer. Thanks

I got there and nobody asked me what I was there for or greeted me at all...so i waited and waited... Another lady walked in and went straith to the back counter and "the guy" immediately started taking care of her, right away, obviously it wasnt her first time there and she knew the procedure...Customer service horrendous, the guy( who spoke Spanish) it was the worst, ignored me not even making any eye contact I will never come back. Its too bad because I was looking forward doing my prescription glasses there too. (I wish owner will check cameras)

One doesnt usually find an optometrist who gives the attention to detail of an ophthalmologist. However this was my husbands experience at Stein Optometrics. Whilst going in for a regular eye appointment to get new glasses, the doc saw something unusual and recommended that he see a specialist. This recommendation could have just saved my husbands eyesight. Clearly this is a practice where they are prepared to go the extra yard. We think they are great!

They have a great selection of frames for both sunglasses and vision wear. I have been buying my frames from them for many years. They have a better selection than most places in Beverly Hills. But the service from the staff is so-so. I will continue to purchase my frames from them, but I will not have lenses made by them. They have lost my order on more than a few occasions and the optometrist who did my exam last time seemed "hung over".

Stein Optometric are filled with helpful staff who are there to make sure your optometry needs are met, regardless if you need a pair of contacts or just a set of sunglasses. Theyre very open to listening to you - I had received a pair of glasses from Stein and the prescription didnt seem right. When I went back, they refit my frames and created an entirely new set of lenses - it was great!

We have come here about four or five times. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. My son just got his first pair of reading glasses and the assistant was unfailingly patient and let him try on as many pairs as necessary to get exactly what he wanted. They were able to make his glasses in about 15-20 minutes, saving us a trip back. Recommend highly.

Best selection of designer frames that I have ever seen. Incredibly talented doctors and staff. Ive never gotten anything but a perfect prescription from the doctors and Ive never gotten anything but excellent assistance picking out frames from the staff. Go to Stein Optometric to see better and look better! All around 5 stars without question!
