Had a bad experience with Mohawk? Me too. Mohawk doesnt want you to hear my experience. They tried to censor this review. Read for yourself why. Bought defective shoes. The return policy states that they will exchange full price items for store credit in 7 days. Period. No other conditions about defects, being worn, etc applied at the time of purchase. Instead, they told me to go to a foreign manufacturer and gave me an email address. Not knowing what else to do, I contacted the manufacturer and posted a negative Yelp review. Mohawk replied by saying that they had a great relationship with the manufacturer, accused me of slander, and then explicitly refused to help as punishment for posting a review about them. Bizarre. Spiteful. I filed a credit card dispute. They responded to that dispute by making false claims in writing. They stated that I walked out of the store wearing the shoes. False. They stated that they tried to resolve the issue by requesting a photo. Again, false. Unsettling that this merchant would opt for dishonesty as opposed to settling this in a professional way. I reached out to the owner to propose a compromise. Finally, they responded. Their idea of compromise was to revise the policy after the fact and request a photo so they could determine if the shoes were defective. They patently refuse to honor their own policy as written unless they can adjust the policy to their advantage. Needless to say their credibility is shot. Would you believe them? In my opinion, Mohawk should not be selling anything, especially not high end goods. In fact, this entire experience has been a textbook journey in how not to treat customers, much less human beings. I bought those shoes in July. Im writing this in November. Dont shop here. This unapologetic group of retailers would likely treat you with matching disdain. If youve had a similar experience, contact the City of Los Angeles. Tell them about your own experience. I did. If you do shop there, ask them about this review or their return policy. See what they say. As a Silverlake resident, Id prefer to see merchants like this leave the neighborhood. Its entirely possible to offer unique goods with kindness. There is a point at which it stopped being about a pair of shoes. At the end of the day, they are just shoes and the way you treat someone leaves the more lasting impression. Mohawk was rude then did nothing more than begrudgingly and repeatedly ask to inspect a photo without acknowledging the rest. Clearly, failing to appreciate whats most important--common decency. This review is a balanced and true account of my experience with Mohawk. Thank you.

Inflexible returns policy. Product purchased was faulty. Granted I didnt have my receipt, and were talking about a low cost item here, but the point is I felt gypped and undervalued as a repeat customer. Ive spent a not inconsiderable amount of money there. Will never shop at mohawk again.

The new mens store is awesome. The staff is helpful but not pushy and I got a pair of supercool wide leg denim trousers there (on sale!) and a perfect pocket square. So happy to have somewhere in the neighborhood that sells grown-up clothes!

This store really does have everything from clothing to furniture and everything in between. Mohawk carries great designer pieces along with very unique vintage pieces as well.
