Cake and Art bakery in West Hollywood is filled with Dream Makers. My husband and I had a Broadway themed wedding and we searched far and wide for the right bakery to make our dream cake. I am obsessed with the Food Network show “Ace of Cakes,” so we were looking for a similar renegade cake baker in SoCal. We didn’t find Cake and Art in our initial search, but we did find a model for our dream cake at a bakery in Seattle—we inquired and they wanted $3500 for the cake because it needed its own seat on the plane. We took the picture into Cake and Art and they excitedly said they could do our dream cake for an extremely reasonable price. This was still months before the wedding, so we were optimistic, but our expectations were still tempered. The week of the wedding, they sent us the final sketch and it was absolutely gorgeous—we figured if the actual cake was half as beautiful as the sketch, we would be in good shape. When we arrived at the wedding, the first thing we did was go check out the cake and we were dumbfounded. As you can see from the pictures, it is absolutely stunning and everything that we wanted. Tom and the entire staff of Cake and Art were so wonderful to deal with and we are so grateful for all of the incredible memories that they created through building such a beautiful piece of art. We whole-heartedly recommend Cake and Art for all your creative cake occasions!

They did a 4 layer cake for my indian wedding. That cake was amazing in taste and looked incredble. Cake and Art is nearly half of the cost when I compared them with other bakeries during the time I was looking for a cake.. The guys that work there are amazing, funny and quirky, they know what they are doing, and rest assured they got me the best wedding cake.. my cake was purple with intricate gold henna designs that matched my dress.. they had no trouble with it.. delivered it on time.. definetely consider them when you are looking for wedding cakes!!

They took my order over the phone for a book signing that was going to take place in just a few days. I emailed them pics of the front cover and the spine of the book, told them what I was looking for and left the rest to chance. I had never dealt with them before. They did an AMAZING job!!!! The cake was a smash hit and the taste was fantastic. Their Red Velvet cake is to die for! It brought the author to tears. A sincere THANK YOU goes out to all the super friendly and helpful staff.

Came here with my friend because she wanted to try the interesting shaped cookies. The cookies are coconut macaroons covered in chocolate with some coconut shavings on the top. The cookie was around 5 dollars, I think its a one time thing. I wouldnt go here on purpose because I crave the cookie, but its one of those oh let me try it once kinda thing. The taste is soft, crispy with some chewiness to it. I enjoyed it. Definitely good to try this at least once and do it for the picture !

I live on the same block and I was really happy when I tried this place. The food is great, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is very friendly. The problem is its just a little too expensive for what is basically no frills, good quality food. Ive lived in CA my whole life, Im used to CA prices for everything, but it was still a little much. I hope they consider repricing some of the items on the menu...if they did I would probably be there every morning.

Now Ive heard of cake pops before (and love them) but pie pops? What a great invention. I used Sweet Lauren Cakes for a client event recently and I loved them and so did my clients. I got a mix of cake pops (chocolate and red velvet) and pie pops (apple cinnamon and pumpkin). They even made the colors match my companys logo. Id definitely get some goodies from here again.

Ive been here at least a dozen times and the cookies are great. Lots of variety and the prices are solid considering the cookies are pretty big. There have been a couple times some of the cookies were on the greasy/oily side, but still delicious nonetheless. The place is tiny so I always make it a point to get in and out pretty quickly. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

The cakes here look amazing-- afterall they call themselves Cake Art. Unfortuately, the taste is not all that special. They offer cupcakes, too. But Im already a fan of a few other cupcake places that are fresher, moister, and better tasting. If you are looking for a cake that looks AMAZING and thats the most important thing for you, then go here.

Ive been ordering cakes from C&A for oh, seven years now for clients- mostly movie studio execs and such, and they are always creative, collaborative, and Toms staff seems to really dig their work. Someday, Ill find a reason to order their more "adult" themed delectables. Ill have to pinterest some pics of our cakes over the years. Rad stuff!!

I got the white chocolate macadamia cookie and didnt get to eat it until the end of the day- it was still moist and soft and delicious even then. Especially enjoyed the wall of photos of ppl in their signature hot cookie undies and the penis shaped cookies- definitely worth a visit to this Castro institution.

Super delicious. Super perfect Bakery. From cupcakes to $10,000 custom wedding cakes. They do it all and have done it all for every celebrity in Hollywood. The owner Tom is a gem. If he cannot bake it for you do not need it or you arent describing it very well. ---Super delicious and always fabulous

I like their red velvet cupcakes that store dark chocolate chips inside the cake...apparently this place get flooded w/ custom order cakes b/c I could see that the staff was baking a cake- a good sign!
