Went to safeway Deli in Lodi, ca, I wanted to get some Olive Loaf sliced thin. I waited out there for nearly 30 minutes...before a young tall girl with glasses on, I believe her name is Jamie ignored me for 30 full minutes before coming out of the back room to help me. She saw me standing there the whole time but didnt come out to help me. She was apparently too busy chatting with a shorter young girl in the back.... laughing, giggling, ignoring me and another customer. When she did finally come out, she sighed loudly like I was interupting her! I asked for her to slice me Olive Loaf, She asked me with a bad attitude "How much do you want?" and get this, I told her I needed 1 pound and had to tell her several times, because she was too busy chatting and didnt pay attention to my answer. The next morning I came in, I asked to speak to the department manager there, and the manager there was as young as she was, and was apparently the same one she was chatting with rudely while I was waiting the day before!!!! What kind of staff do they have there? High school students? I now shop all the way in Stockton when I need something from their deli or when I really need to go to Lodi, I realize that if I wait til after work (4pm) to go when those two gals are not there. I have called their store manager to complain but nothing was done apparently because they are still there being rude and immature.

Clean, friendly. Only complaints are the usual chain store complaints, such as shortage on cashiers on occasion, and the self-checkouts are down more often than I feel they should be, but neither of these warrant anything less than 5 stars. All the things that really matter are ship-shape. Sushi lady is great and quick, in fact, I have yet to encounter a rude worker.

Today I stopped by the meat department for some salmon and the gentlemen who helped me was absolutely wonderful, his name is Jesse. He was very helpful and patient with me. Every time I come to the meat department in Safeway, I hope to be helped by Jesse. He knows what hes doing and is such a pleasure to talk to. I might add that hes pretty sweet on the eyes as well!

Really nice store, clean and well stocked. Ive purchased from the Deli which was really nice as well. Today I had a really nice experience with an employee "Christopher Weaver" he was very helpful, polite and courteous. Safeway is very fortunate to have employees like Christopher.

The customer service there is great. Very helpful . The cashier at the self check that is always there is so sweet and nice. She left her post to go find something I was looking for. The atmosphere there is nice and calm. No one in a great hurry. I love shopping here.

Checkout clerk found that the computer didnt give me the discount I was owed for a coupon. She and another clerk worked and worked and gave me the discount I was owed! Thanks for going the extra mile to catch the error!!!!!!

I love the store and employees that work here! The pharmacy staff, especially Anne and Darcie are very friendly and helpful! Safeway is in my opinion the best grocery store and pharmacy in Lodi!!

Open 24/7, clean, friendly, and pretty good selection of products but it would be nice if they carried a wider variety for a greater range in prices on products like laundry detergent.
