Visited S-Mart to buy my groceries. Disappointed with the lack of variety of brands carried at S-Mart. Staff was friendly as i browsed the store, until I started my self check out. I am a retail cashier, and I know when someone is being rude to a customer and giving bad customer service. My first issue was with the self-check out. I set bananas on the scale and the screen told me to set them on the bagging area after they were weighed and added up the price. I did and the screen said "assistance needed. Unknown object on the bagging are." the old man at the self checkout came and cleared the message so i could check out. Then the screen said "are you using your own bag today?" and I clicked yes. And the screen froze again. The man came back irritated at the fact he had to help me again. He cleared the screen and I clicked the green button "Pay Now" and it prompted me to insert my card. The screen froze for a third time, this time I wasnt approached by the man, so I took my card out of the chip terminal thinking it would unfreeze and let me press the green button again. The man approached me irritated again, telling me that i didnt press the green button and that I was causing the computer to freeze by taking out my card. I told him i did press the button before inserting my card and he told me "well you have to keep pressing it until it goes away!" It did go away the first time and reappeared when i took my card out! The man told me to do it again, with a very irritated tone to his voice, and walked away. Very unfriendly customer service, and I am very disappointed with the way the man treated me. I will never be shopping here again. That I can promise.

Crazy, jittery people hanging around the place. They mutter to themselves and at me as I shop. The cashier Sam is quite rude, I dont need to tell all my personal information with such rough people around. No thanks Ill shop at Safeway where I feel safer, even if its a much farther drive.

was funny someone had walked in with a backpack that had an rc antenna sticking out of it and he was decked other than that service was great short lines and whenever you need help reaching for something or knowing where something is they help you with a smile:)

No other place like S-Mart! Fabulous meats - we were pleasantly surprised to find Prime meat there!! We also like that a percentage supports St. Annes School...
