We were in Grass Valley for our daughters wedding and needed food and supplies for our Sunday morning brunch for 100 people. The staff at Safeway were amazing! We went in a few days early and they ordered our bagels to be fresh and ready for us early morning on Sunday. The store opens 6 AM every day so it was easy to come by and pick things up for a 9:00 am breakfast on the day of. We couldnt special order fresh fruit platters from them since they dont make them on premises but they made sure to save 4 platters of fruit so that we could be assured to have them when we arrived on Sunday. They even provided extra plastic covered platters free of charge. The staff (especially deli and bakery) couldnt have been nicer or more accommodating. The brunch came off great!

Nice food and all. Really like those snapea crisps next to the fruits and veggies area, and those its its ice cream things too. The reason why Im giving it 3 because one time when I was shopping with my dad and his friend, we saw some lady wearing a bra who didnt look okay. At the checkout place. A girl wearing Cookie Monster pants told us to go to a different checkout area because of the long line. I whispered to her about the bra lady. Weird people at grocery stores these days. Especially at Walmart.

Its a nice, well organized and designed supermarket. The prices run high though. This being Grass Valley though and like most stores in this town the staff are very friendly. Theres a better vibe here. For us living in Dobbins this was a store we missed when living in Plumas Lake. Id rather drive 38 miles to this Safeway than the same distance to the one in Natomas or Gridley.

Really nice and helpful staff! Unfortunately a smaller store, doesnt have everything I need, but its close and convenient and its an "everybody knows your name" kinda store. The customers are just as friendly as the workers, so its actually not a pain in the... or frusturating going to the grocery store for a change!!! :)

Its downtown Grass Valley there is enough parking but the store is small which limits some of the selections and the Isles are very tight they will barely fit two carts going past each other. The staff is friendly and they do seem to have all of the advertised sale items in the Safeway Flyers.

Older store, with no deli or fresh bakery. Their produce section is good. The aisles are narrow and the store feels crowded. Employees here are not as friendly as at other Safeway locations. Not a big selection of cold drinks; only what is in the mini fridges at the checkstands.

Pretty crowded most of the time. Best times to come in is during the week, and from 5am-11am. Its hit and miss with the crowd here. Great little store in a great community. Would just be cool if the management would allow more checkers!

Crowded (everything seems crammed in and its hard to manuever near the registers) , questionable people hang around outside, and kind of dirty. I try to avoid this Safeway and make the extra trip to the Safeway off Brunswick if I can.

Always a wait in line. I avoid going here after nine as there is always a shortage of checkers. Most visits it is hard to make it down the small isles with a cart due to the advertised items stacked in the middle.

Very limited on what is carried due to the size of the store. May be out of certain items or not carry items. Great for a quick stop for ice, water, fruits etc...Staff was very nice.

This is an older store . Safeway has the best wine prices in town, buy 6 and get a discount and lower prices on wine than other stores in town.
