Its not a store that will wow you in any big way, but it is the only grocery store in the tiny town of Inverness and because of this, its important to the local community. Obviously, its also a must-stop place for tourists who have gotten this far on their way out to the beach without assembling their picnic lunch. The Inverness Store has a deli and carries basic staples, as well as liquor, tobacco products and DVDs. Service is fine. Tourists really like the old boat thats beached in back of the store - a nice photo-op and there are a few picnic tables back there as well where you can sit and watch the bay and the birds. Very nice. Inverness has so few businesses that every one of them is important and noticeable. I think The Inverness Store is much needed by the community. On a personal note, we tend to prefer going to Perrys just down the road in Inverness Park which, though smaller, somehow seems a little neater and more inviting. Just my 2 cents, but its good to have both stores in the general environs, and youll be sure to need to step inside The Inverness Store if youre visiting the peninsula.

A great old fashioned country store. From deli counter to old fashioned sodas you wont find anywhere else. Vintage old fashioned candies & drinks. Alcohol to camping equipment, its all there. One stop store.

Useful mix of items. A short wall of boutique brand root beers, cream sodas, lemonades, ginger beers, etc. You can still rent a DVD for that vacation rental thats off the grid. Good sandwiches.
