I am actually a pretty go lucky person, but I was pretty disappointed at Whole Foods today. I went to the salad bar which is one of my favorite things there and they didnt have any pulled chicken. Finally I found the attendant and he told me that they wouldnt have any more chicken for at least an hour and a half to two hours this was at 4:30 at dinner time. Meanwhile they were putting out rotisserie chickens right next to it at the same time. I asked him isnt that the same thing cant they put the chicken in there and he said no that is a different department. This is not the first time I have been to the salad bar, I live in Huntington Beach and they are constantly running low on chicken but in the past they have cut up the rotisserie chicken for the customers that wanted it. I was not offered that option today and was disappointed after I made my salad and had to have it without chicken. I still spent a lot of money in the store like i always do but probably wont go back anymore for the salad bar if they cant accommodate one protein then thats sad. I get a lot of the people that shop at Whole Foods are vegan but I am not, I do eat chicken and would like to have that on my salad, and it is offered but hardly there. I dont think I was rude I was just asking the gentleman if they were going to have any more chicken soon and he was really mean and said no not for at least an hour and a half to two hours at dinner time so you will have to wait if you really "want chicken. My alternative was to buy an entire chicken for just me when I wanted a salad. Guess I will go to mothers or soupplantation next time " :-(

Rated "Americas Angriest Store" After seeing an imported item on the Internet, I drove over to the Whole Foods Market at Bella Terra. Looked around, could not find it, so asked a checkout guy, he told me to ask a manager, so I walked over to an older guy, with a "Team Leader" badge, lounging against an aisle with a cup of coffee in his hand, talking to a young girl about what was obviously a "personal" issue she was having, waited and as she continued on and it was not business, I interrupted, asking where I might find the item, to which he replied brusquely "I am talking to a customer." I said OK and waited. He then said "Can you give us some space." OMG. Anyway I looked again could not find it, then spotted the "Team Leader" scurrying away down another aisle and said "I saw on the Internet you carry this item." He said, "Just because it says so on the Internet does not mean a thing". Finally he asked a Stocker in the isle if they had the item, to which he said, "I dont think so, not at this store." I thanked the stockperson, deliberately ignoring the so called "Team Leader", who then spouted some platitudes. What a truly incompetent, unprofessional, self righteous person LOL. I would recommend HR review your personal at this store ASAP. Dr Kevin C. (Doctors Without Borders)

Whole foods is a high end grocery chain that offers quality foods and housewares. They also have a bar area, hot and cold food bars, juice bar, pastry section and more. The service at whole foods is pretty consistent with each location and you can expect to get friendly and knowledgeable staff at each section. I like that the fish department will go to the back and pull out fresher pieces of fish if you dont like what you see at the counter. They did that for us when we were buying salmon for sushi night and they de skinned the fish as well. The meat section is awesome they have fresh cooked meats off to the side like pulled pork and brisket that you can buy by the pound and make a sandwich. My friend prefers the vegan pastries because she says they taste better and we were able to find a gluten free vegan cake for her which was a perfect compliment to our sushi dinner! If your looking for a good grocery store that offers quality foods as well as gluten free, organic, and vegan, whole foods is your place. Its located next to the staples in the Bella terra shopping plaza and there is plenty of parking.

I love that theres a Huntington Beach location... Super convenient. BUT its not the greatest WF Store. The selection is mediocre. The hot/cold bar is incredibly small compared to other locations. And the variety of such isnt great either. The staff doesnt seem to be stoked to be there... Which could attribute to the snoody customers. It seems like the people that shop at this particular location just shop there to tell people they shop there. What happened to the people who actually care about their health and planet? Stop taking bags and bring your own. The juice bar is wonderful. Its a hit or miss on my order though. More times than not Im not getting the juice/smoothie at its best. Overall... The location is great... But I would much rather drive out of my way to go to another location. Which is exactly what Ive decided to do. Tustin is great!

Eff this place. Im seriously upset that I even have to post one star. Its absolutely ABSURD how expensive it is to shop there. Go to Sprouts instead. At least they have good sale prove a and you can find a decent deal every once in a while. I legitimately hope they get closed down. I mean, are you trying to sell healthy food or just rob people right out of the grave? Not only that but there is NEVER anyone to help you when you need it. Wtf are their ceos even thinking? Oh lets just not hire anyone so that we can keep all the change from everyones pockets? Not even cool. Running around on a schedule and the a couple boxes of fruit & energy bars & two coconut waters costs me 50$. #ithinknot #neveragain

Be prepared to deal with yuppie/hipster douchebag attitudes. The customer is always wrong here. What ever you do, do not ask for help unless you wish to lose your cool status among the hip and trendy socialites. I can already tell you its a stupid question, dont ask it. Besides they dont know the answer so why bother them. If you are so lame as to bother the help be prepared to receive a noxious or misleading reply and you deserve it because obviously you werent cool enough to shop here. Small tip... the security guard is also a lame and is super friendly and helps customers that are un cool. So go ask him if youre a lame too. Hell go out of his way and break his back to please you. So un-cool.

Salmon in the salmon teriyaki bowl was apparently pre-cooked. I asked for a fresh one to be made and I think the guy just heated up a piece of old pre-cooked salmon because it tasted horrific. In fact, it tasted...dare I say it? CANNED. It tasted exactly like canned tuna that was formed into "filets". Truly the worst salmon Ive ever tasted in any form during my 40 years of eating salmon on this planet. I get the exact same salmon teriyaki bowl at the Whole Foods in Henderson, NV and the salmon always tastes fresh and delicious. Wont be shopping at this store anymore.
