Purchased prescription rayban sunglasses with polarized lenses on May 31 for an upcoming out of country trip scheduled for August. The color of the frame was not in stock but measurements were taken using another color. Was told by Myra that glasses would be back in 2 weeks because they were special order. Called office 3 weeks later- was told that order was not ready-they "suspected" that frame was on back order; they stated they would call in a couple of days. I received no phone call. On July 9, I called again- spoke with Marissa who stated that she could not take my call because she was with a patient. Later that afternoon, received call from Melinda who did not understand why order was taking so long. She was very apologetic and stated that they found my frames at another Lenscrafter location and would send someone the next day to personally pick up frames so they can expedite to Rayban lab. On July 25, I still had not heard from the office so I went in directly to inquire about my order and cancel if they were not ready. I was surprised to find that my glasses were in the store. I was glad that my glasses were finally in; but, was bothered that no one called to tell me they had arrived. I was an optician x 4 years who worked for an optometrist while I was in college. We would NEVER allow an order to go unfulfilled for 2 months! If the frames were not available, wed notify the patient of the delay, then offer the patient the option to pick another frame, or wait until the order was completed--in either case, we communicated with the patient. Ive ordered many glasses from other Lenscrafters--my last pair were also special order but they notified me of the delay. I will not be returning to this location.

They are a little small and under-staffed. But they are honest people and if you are like me who wants glasses done in 1 hour without having to worry about fake products or lens quality, then give this LensCrafters a try. You wont be disappointed. Ask for AAA discount even if you dont have one. Their anti-relfective coating is unsurpassed, and comes with 1 year unlimited replacement warranty with a $100 copay (which is not bad). I have alot of photography equipments so I understand the values of good lens coatings. You cant expect high quality coating and lens materials and cheap prices (its just again Physics). I also like the fact that they have Ray-ban Rx lens and not dye-tinted polycarbonate lens for sunglasses.

Good selection of glasses to go try on and buy online. Eye exams advertised at a reasonable $65, until they sneakily up-sell you mid exam. The pictures of your retina v. dilation costs an additional 39.99 (which they didnt tell us until the end). Basic eye exam took almost 2 hours and the place didnt seem that busy. The whole time they skeeze you like a used car salesman into buying frames and lenses on the spot. Good eye exam, but the staff could use some lessons in time management and customer satisfaction. Despite them having some of the latest eye gadgets, I probably wouldnt go back due to the slimy feeling I had being sold to hard after the exam.

I have moved from Portland,OR where my lens crafters associates were very professional to Huntington Beach where the lens crafters is lacking... I have called several times to order my lenses to each time being asked to call back later because they were too busy!!?! ( why even answer the phone then?) by now Ive decided I need to deal with the Fashion Island branch as they have been more willing to take contact orders... Very strange

WORST LensCrafters Ive ever been to! Three employees standing around talking to themselves, not one asked if we needed any help. The selection there was almost nil....maybe 50 frames, if that. With all the different places you can go to get GOOD service, even online ordering is a better experience than shopping at this LensCrafters. Will never go there again, would never recommended it to anyone.

Just had my second bad experience with this LensCrafters. Had a 3pm appointment, left work early, drove all the way there and they didnt have me on the schedule and could not accommodate. BIG inconvenience. Wont recommend or go back.
