I have no idea where the negative comments are coming from. I am employed by a family that has 4 homes. These are not rentals. They are their residences. My responsibility is to manage the maintenance, repairs and enhancements the properties. I travel a lot and have numerous contacts with suppliers and technicians across 3 states. I have always found the owner and his staff to be friendly, helpful and professional. I make the majority of my purchases at Triangle Hardware when I am in the south bay area. I had one experience that cemented my loyalty to them. I was scheduled to leave LA at 6:00 A.M. on a Wednesday. I discovered at about 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday that I needed a part that was not available from any source that I could find... Triangle ordered the part and I picked it up Wednesday morning at 5:00 A.M. on my way out of town. Now THAT is customer service. I want to add my thanks as well for the service you provide. I have come to depend on it.

They are just a couple minutes away, (great when you need a water heater fast) no hassle driving to them, they have A+ quality merchandise and best of all they understand me when I dont even know the name of the part I need. Then show me the part or parts to make it work right the first time. Plus when they dont have it they look it up to see if they can get it and then theyll order it. If they cant order it they guide me to another place that has it. Very helpful, got everything and just around the corner. Im going GREEN with Triangle Hardware by saving gas shopping there. Plus the person Im working for saves money too. Lots of their prices are a few bucks lower then that big box store that has B quality parts 4 or 5 miles away. Thank you Triangle Hardware for being here.

Living close to the store, Ive shopped here many times over the years. I often get the feeling theyd rather not be helping me or that I should already know everything Im talking about or exactly what item Im looking for. I once brought in a coupler that needed to be replaced and a guy tried to convince me that I should get something else. Its a significant contrast from Learned Lumber (who also carry a good range of products) a couple blocks away, although Triangle does specialize in plumbing as distinct from lumber. The prices are a bit higher, but things (and help) are certainly easier to find than a big box store. In the end, sorry, Triangle; I recommend others first.

This is a nice store with some nice employees (same guys work there all the time) but one with an unmissable chip on his shoulder. After making some snide remark about the name I used for a tool I corrected him by pointing to some merchandise behind the counter clearly showing the name I used. He immediately lost his temper in some childish tantrum for being corrected and told me to leave the store and never come back. Needless to say this didnt make me happy so I said something along the lines of "prides a b*tch, get over it" and walked outside. He followed me outside and told me to come back at 5:30PM when they close if I want to talk about it more. What an a-hole.

I was a bit hesitant to go to Triangle Hardware after reading these reviews, but its so close to my house I couldnt pass it up. What you all said may have been true in 2007, but yesterday I was greeted at the door and assisted from start to end. The store has everything you could ever want and if its on the shelf and requires a special order, the owner took it upon himself to get what I needed. Being that this was my first trip there, I only ended up spending about 15 bucks. They treated me as if I had bought half the store. Ignore the other reviews (as most of them are outdated anyways) and give these guys a try. Ask for Sonny, hes awesome!

Boy the person I spoke to on the phone sure was rude. Told me that the store was full but theyd call me back and took my number. I will tell you to fill that store only takes three people. I drove over just to check if they had what I needed store was completely empty and the other person not the guy that was rude the first time but the lady also pretty rude. Now the guy never called me back and its been about a week Im thinking he probably wont be calling back. I guess its pretty hard to run a place into the ground when its been around that long.

I support local small businesses even if they cost more than the big stores, but Im never shopping here again. The owner (Indian guys) is rude, snarky and goes out of his way to be UNhelpful. His staff has learned well and many of them treat customers like idiots who are beneath them/not worth their time. Even after shopping their over 20 times, their attitude says "we dont want your business". I have PhD in engineering and an IQ above room temperature; but these guys consitently treat me like a kid. Go somewhere else.

I love this hardware store. Great customer service and they have so much selection. A little bit of everything and way more of those hard to find items that the big box stores never have. You know, what hardware stores used to be before Home Depot and Lowes showed up. I love that it is close to where I live and that I dont end up spending half an hour wandering around a warehouse looking for someone to help me find something.

Ive been shopping here for years, and try to shop here as much as possible, as opposed to giving my money to the corporate giants, Home Depot and Lowes. I always look forward to seeing the Triangle guys, and know that there will always be someone asking to help me within seconds of walking through the door. We all need to shop at neighborhood stores like this, or they will someday be a thing of the past.

Every experience Ive ever had at Triangle Hardware has been a good one. The people working there have invariably been friendly and helpful. Ive been greeted at the door, shown where the materials are that I am looking for, have had good advice given to me, even had physical help right there getting the wheels on a scooter for my three year-old grand-daughter. Id recommend them in a minute.

Bought a caulking gun that I did not use. Went to return 2 days later. They would not refund. They claimed it was used. I told them this was the condition I bought it in. They flatly refused... I will NEVER shop there again. Its only $5!... this is a total ripoff place looking to scam you. I have given this place a lot of business in the past. I would definitely steer clear.

Its a fairly nice store with pretty friendly people (from what Ive seen... I havent encountered what the other reviewer is talking about) Theyll walk with you and help you find what youre looking for. The prices are slightly higher than home depot, but definitely worth the added service you get. Great for small projects and little things you forgot you needed!

i agree with three of the reviews, nice to have a local shop, but the guy that works there is RUDE so i go back to lowes and orchard when I asked for the owners name and number the guy would not give it to me, he should find a job that he likes and go work there. sincerely, hermosa local of 25 years.
