Im consistently blown away by the quality and value of the wines poured at this excellent tasting room. A fantastic variety of Cabernet selections whose Mendocino County designation belies a complexity and quality that meets and often exceeds their Napa counterparts (who usually cost more than double). Donnis runs a friendly and very jovial tasting room and makes guests feel like family. I recently purged the too numerous wine club memberships I had amassed over the years. Topel was the lone survivor.

This place is the tasting room of a small boutique winery, and the wines we tasted were excellent. We went in planning to buy one bottle and ended up buying three. The sommelier was very knowledgeable but also really friendly - he gave us extra tastings of wines in addition to the flight that we bought. Topel was the best tasting of our trip so far - I would strongly recommend it.
