I have been a customer for about five years but have been very disappointed lately as their customer service has deteriorated dramatically. On my last two visits, when I requested a 50lb bag of chicken feed, the clerk didnt even ask what type I wanted or discuss the options. She just charged me for the most expensive one (or the one they needed to get rid of). I had to request information about my options and she acted like this was an inconvenience. Apparently, not just taking what they want to sell you is a problem. After paying, I was sent to the "warehouse" to pick up my purchase but was forced to wait for nearly 10 minutes without an employee in sight. I repeatedly rang the bell to summon an employee, as instructed, but got no response. Even if they were busy, it would have been nice for somebody to come by and say "well be with you in a minute". A couple of visits ago, the guy with red hair/red beard was merely unpleasant. During my most recent visit, he was rude and argumentative. I will not be returning. I will drive further to shop elsewhere and avoid being treated like crap. I suggest you do the same.

Some times we need to call ahead to make sure they have the Avoderm dogfood we like in stock, but they have decent prices and have a very nice store. I think they had problems with their ordering system, the last two times we were in they were well stocked. For our Chinchillas we buy wood pellet bedding and alfalfa cubes. The price on both is excellent. However they both come in 50 lb. sacks. For the bedding that is fine, We go through enough of it. For the alfalfa cubes, its totally excessive. I wish they would just break down a bag and re-package it. I would pay the same price for just a couple pounds if it were convenient. We ended up repacking the cubes into freezer bags and giving as much away as possible to friends with Chinchillas.

I wanted a feed store closer to home, what a mistake. I was short on money and inquired about feed by the pound. I was told they had it, drove out there and was told I was mistaken! Very disappointed. So I will continue to drive a 30 mile round trip to my favorite feed store Sierra Hay & Feed in Lincoln, California.

We use Douglas Feed for our dog supplies. Great selection and very good prices. Best of all, they now sell Fromms dog food! Now we dont need to order it online. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful...you dont get that at the chain pet stores for sure.

Nice people you can pick up most anything you need in a pinch. May have to call ahead for specialty dog foods but regular brands are always in stock. Decent price on Hay & Grain. Lots of other equipment available for both dogs and livestock.

I love the dog wash! They have oatmeal dog shampoo & several other wonderful shampoos. The spaces are clean, and my dog always has a great time. I also noticed that the staff is always very friendly and informative.
