Josh Rivera

To refer to Noe Lopez as an amazing artist is quite the understatement. His capability to understand detail and use of color is beyond exquisite. After my first tattoo, 7 years ago, I knew I found the right artist. I also knew, if I wanted anything else in the future, there wouldnt be anyone who could compliment Noes prestige signature style. His work is not something you can compare to anything else but if one should, then compare every piece hes previously created to his work today and whats yet to come. His skill to replicate a photo or free hand has no difference and is nothing short of amazing. His consistency in his craft is what defines Noe Lopez as a well respected and true Artist. So far I have gotten 3 tattoos all from Noe Lopez, the 1st like i said earlier 7 years ago, 2nd was Dec. 2013, and the most recently Oct 2014. The shop is extremely clean and gives off a great atmosphere for tattooing. Highly recommend going here.

Contra Tattoo is one of my favorite shops that Ive ever had the fortune of walking into. My one and only artist is Andrew Thaxter. Andrew has the most original work and a very unique style to his art that I have ever seen. Im constantly being asked where Ive gotten my work done, and Im always happy and excited to share his name and my experiences. He doesnt have a heavy hand, his lines are clean, colors are extremely vibrant and his work is one of a kind. You definitely get what you pay for with Andrew. Hes always extremely understanding if you need to take a break and is super personable. Because of the way that Andrew has treated me, and the work-ethic that he displays... he has me completely sold on his work. Andrew is an artist that is completely worth the wait when there is one.. and I wont go to anyone else.

This shop is one of the best in Fresno with some incredible artists. The place all around is very clean and the artists are super friendly and helpful. My artist is Andrew C. Thaxter and I have gotten most of my tattoos by him because his work is VERY clean and vibrant. He has a very unique traditional style and he is quite the dude. Not only is he a great artist but he is really fun to talk to while getting tattooed. He makes sure your feelings come before tattooing so if you feel a bit sick or need to take breaks often, no problem. I highly reccomend going to Contra Tattoo and getting pieces by all the artists there. Never want to go anywhere else now!

I was looking for a local artist/shop when a good friend recommended Noe and his shop, Contra Tattoo. Since all of Noes work on my buddy was sic, I headed down there for a traditional tattoo from Josh (Choncho). Safe to say I liked his work, I was back two weeks later, getting more work done. Super clean shop, even cleaner lines and chill laid back artists make this the best shop in Fresno. I really recommended at least stopping by and talking with an artist, they will hook up a great tattoo. I cant wait for Josh to finish off my arm, he has a style all his own!

Sis and I went in to get a matching tat. Noe worked on my sisters the other guy I forget his name did mine. He obviously didnt know what he was doing he was using too much pressure on the needle and hurting me. Noe had to finis mine. The reason they get one star is bcs Noe was seriously perverted and kept hitting on my sisters friend to the point where it made us uncomfortable! Highly unprofessional.

Thanjs noe i came in from the bay area and noe was booked all the way till may and he decided to stay late to do my tat no words can explain how happy i am its My first tattoo and noe for sure did a amazing job paid attention to every detail!!! Highly recommend this place. Matt Raber was amazing!!! Dudes a beast with the ink!!!! My husband loves his tattoo and is very happy with this amazing tatt being his first. Very professional and an all around amazing guy!!!!! We will for sure be back for more ink from Matt!!! Thanks Matt!!!!

Noe is a magician and a down right awesome human being. He has approached every tattoo i have had with pure excitement and proffesionalism. The shop is artistic and they take more sanitary precautions than any other shop i have been in. This is the only place i will get tattooed.
