I called Karkazian to have a Tungsten Carbide ring laser engraved. They quoted me a price that was comparable to other quotes for laser engraving. I brought the ring in and they went to work. I received a call the next day telling me that the engraver made several mistakes on the engraving but that they were going to replace the ring. I called on the date they promised the ring, but it wasnt done. I went in the next day and after waiting for awhile the owner brought the ring out. I examined the ring and noted that the colon was poorly done (it had been scratched). He told me that he had to "free hand" the colon, but was unwilling to correct the problem. I asked about the engraving and he told me that he did not laser engraved it. I complained that I specifically asked for and paid for laser engraving to prevent this problem, but he did not seem to care. I also noticed that the engraving was not uniform on the inside of the band but followed a wave pattern as the band is rotated. As a consolation he gave me the old band that has the incorrect inscription.
