Foothills Couple

This place has an awesome selection with some very cool people that work there. Unfortunately the fat "20 something" guy completely ruins all they have going for them. White dude, about 6 feet tall, sloppy overweight, dresses like a soup sandwich. Think "Comic Book guy" from the Simpsons. Looks like he should be at a Star Trek Convention or maybe a Medieval Faire. Anyhow, this dude is a tool of epic proportions. He will readily contradict you, tell you what youre looking for sucks, and generally make you want to kick him hard in the liver. Thinking about bringing my 10 year old daughter in to kick his ass just for laughs. Total wine, do yourselves a favor and give this guy a pink slip. I did have great experiences with a couple of the women who work there who were knowledgable and very helpful. Lose the dick (see above) and you are at 5 stars.

They always have a good selection of everything and the staff is SUPER friendly. They have such a huge selection of everything if you dont know what to buy ask someone. Seriously they will find whoever the expert is in what you are shopping for. I had to buy margarita mix and didnt know which one to pick. One of their guys makes tons of mixed drinks it seems. He could tell me 5 or 6 things about each mix. While figuring out what I was looking for exactly. He finally suggested one that wasnt the most expensive either but the one he thought would be the best. Had the same experience with red wines and found a great everyday table wine that is local for when guest come and visit. Fantastic customer service so make sure you find some help.

Ive shopped at Total Wine for many years and unfortunately it used to fun and exciting, now its just expensive. It seems like the change started a couple months after opening up in Folsom. The beer prices seemed to go up $1 across the board, then a little more, and a little more. They went from being the cheapest to being in line with Bevmo on most items. I can go to Winco and any beer they sell is cheaper than it is at Total Wine. I can go to Wal-Mart and pickup any liquor they sell for cheaper than Total Wine. Good luck finding a 22oz under $5! They used to have coupons all the time, now you might get one once every couple months and its always for Winery Direct items. Given up on Total Wine.

I have shopped at Total Wine for over 5 years, multiple locations and have always enjoyed the customer service at Folsom. I have been very disappointed with the customer service the past few times and today was the tipping point, I almost didnt purchase my over $100 order due to the lack of customer service I received from the manager on duty today. Any other business that I have been to goes above and beyond for a customer when a product is out or cannot be found. The only reason I did not give a 1 star is for the amazing customer service I have received in the past. Total Wine has just lost a loyal customer! I would rather spend a little more for better customer service.

Meg and Karen at the Folsom, CA location helped us choose all the wine for our daughters big wedding reception, and they were wonderful. They were knowledgeable about most everything in the store (which is huge), and helped us buy the best wines in our price range. We stayed in budget, and everyone enjoyed all the beverages at the reception. Thank you!

Good selection of beer, wine, spirits, cigars, and bar items. The staff is always friendly and helpful. 10 cent wine and beer tastings sometimes available. They have a speed chiller if youre buying bottles from the shelf and want them ready to go when you get home. My go-to when buying beverages!

Ran in for a few bottles of fancy water... Found so many awesome gifts and BEAUTIFUL one of a kind items I need for the wine, beer & BBQing with friends. Bring a few extra dollars when you go. Be prepared for a few GREAT Splurg item at a good price.
