Fin-N-Feather is awesome! They are a solid LOCAL business, with decent prices, and a great selection. The pets that we have obtained there have been healthy and well-cared-for. It matters a great deal to me that they treat the animals in their care with compassion, competence, conscientiousness, and conscience. They also have an awesome, reasonable return policy on food--so if you buy food for your dog or kitty, and your little dear doesnt like it, or is allergic, or it doesnt work well for her, you can return it! That makes it easier to try new products, to see what works best for your furry friend. My favorite part, however, is their staff! They are consistently friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable, and they go out of their way to make sure that you get what you need. AND they always carry those giant bags of dog-food to my car for me, when I need it! Which is really helpful, because of health issues, for me. Best of all--its obvious that the people there really love animals, and are very invested in making sure that your precious companions get the products and the care that they need, to be happy, healthy little critters. Fin-N-Feather is my go-to pet store. I would recommend them to anyone!

if youre looking for birds, go to arcata pet supply, if youre looking for fish go to perfect balance, but for your pets sake, DONT GO TO FIN N FEATHER! The birds there always look terrible. They keep them all in small cages stacked up in the back. If you go to arcata pet supply youll understand why that is so bad. Birds need space to play any explore. And the fish... there are always problems with their fish. All of the fish that my boyfriend and I bought from Fin n Feather died within days of bringing them home. my boyfriend is a marine biology major and cleans fishtanks for a living. we dont have any problems keeping fish alive unless they are from fin n feather. Their tanks are usually contaminated with ich and their employees are incredibly unhelpful. We had a problem tank once and needed some answers so we went there to talk to someone. All of our fish were dying. we told the employee the problem and brought in a water sample. do you know what he told us? light some insence and say a prayer. Im not kidding. save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

IM VERY UPSET WITH YOUR GUY WORKER WE BOUGHT TWO BABY MICE AKA HOPPERS AND THE GUY WORKER SAID THEY WOULD BE THE BEST PETS FOR US HE NEVER TOLD US THAT THEY WERE SNAKE FOOD ! Holy crap, coolest pet store I have ever been to. They have birds, small animals, reptiles and fish for sale and nearly any accessory you could need for them and of course cat and dog items. Interesting place to just look around in and you can not miss the large salt water tank they have. Also all the employees are very nice, helpful and were able to easily answer all of our questions while we bought a new pet.

Anybody that lives in the Eureka area that does not go to Fin-N-Feather for their pet supplies should be ashamed of themselves. I have been going here for over 10 years and each time I see a new pet store open up (especially those horrible big-box pet stores) I cringe, yet through it all FNF has continued on and is still in business. Proof that a good store is one that keeps loyal customers.

Ive been frequenting this pet store for over 6 years and they are always great. Some of the employees have been there for years, they take excellent care of their animals and always try to give the best possible information. They are rarely out of anything and can special order just about anything. I highly recommend this pet store, even if it is a little out of your way, its worth it.

The workers here will remember you if you come more than a few times- how cool is that! Ive gone in and had them be like "dog food?" as they pull their little radio out to call someone to bring my bag out & their prices are great, especially for a ma + pa shop. They have WAY more options as far as high quality pet food is concerned. Its the best pet shop in town for a reason :)

This is the best pet store I have ever been to. They have everything youre looking for, and almost everything in the store is priced lower than competitors. I have been a customer of Fin n Feather for 15 years; the people who work there are very informative and helpful. Go in and take a look for yourself.

Great store. The employees are always nice and know what they are talking about. I have mostly dealt with the fish & cat folks. My only wish is that they were bigger and had more space for product diversity...otherwise, awesome! Support local business!

Best pet store in the area. With trustworthy suggestions about caring for every type of pet. Wouldnt go to Petco in a million years over Fin-N-Feather. They certainly helped me out over and over again with my ball python. :) Screw Petco.

I love this store :) definately my favorite pet place. The people are always so friendly and helpful, I dont even mind that its a bit pricey. I love my big guy enough to spend that on him. I dont really find a need to go any where else.

The pricing at Fin-N-Feather is a bit higher than Petcos, but it is a local store and Petco is a chain. Fin-N-Feather cares about our community, so spending a little more is worth it.
