I will not be using PetSmart ever again after todays incident. I brought my dog into PetSmart in Dublin on the weekend to inquire about Doggie Day Camp. I filled out the paperwork, asked my questions, and all that so that we could schedule a day to bring him in while I am at work. (My dog normally sits in my apt by himself all day while I am at work and I wanted to let him play with other dogs all day.) They reviewed his vet paperwork (which states that he is a Black Lab/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix), his AKC Good Canine Citizenship certification and had 3 staff members come out to "look at him". After all this, which took about 30-40min they said that he would be all set to come to Doggy Day Camp and play with the other dogs. They said sometihng along the lines of "they dont allow pit bulls or bully breeds but he doesnt look like one really and his vet paperwork says hes not so your all set" So we scheduled our first day and my boyfriend drops him off on his way into work in South bay and the store says that we cant have our dog in Doggy Day Camp because he LOOKS like a pitbull mix. My bf explained that he wasnt and said that they specifically asked what the dog was when we came in over the weekend and we showed them the vet paperwork and they said that it would be fine. Well it wasnt. My bf was told that he could leave the dog and that the manager would have to say whether or not he would be allowed in Doggy Day Camp, even after we already got approval on the weekend. He had no chance but to leave the dog there because we lived to far away to back track and take him back home and have him make it to work. I called complaining about the situation and was told that I would have to wait until the manager came in to speak with him about it. I asked to have the manager call me when he made a decision and low and behold, he didnt call, he had a staff member call me back stating that they would keep my dog in a kennel and take him out at "regular intervals" to play by himself but that he would not be allowed in Doggy Day Camp because he has some of the same characteristics of a pitbull/bully breed. I couldve left my dog at home if that was the case. I was told he would be able to do Doggy Day Camp and I will be speaking with a manager when I pick up my dog today on why I should be paying them for a day in a kennel when I was told it would be a day playing with other dogs; thats not what I agreed to, that was not what I was told. I will be writing a complaint to corporate about this as well. I cant believe that PetSmart discriminates against bully breeds and doesnt care whether or not the paperwork they asked for says hes not a bully breed/pitbull. I will never use PetSmart services again or be shopping there after this incident. My poor dog has to sit by himself in a cage most of the day in a place he is unfamiliar with because they changed their mind on the day we brought him in for Day Camp. I am very upset about this situation.

This review is only for the grooming department. I tried a couple of months ago to schedule my dog for an appointment using the online system which their phone automated greeting suggest you do. So, I did. They ended up calling to cancel it a few days later because the spot which I had booked online actually wasnt available. I gave them another chance and booked another online appointment last week. They waited a week to call and tell me that the groomer I chose did not groom large dogs. They even admitted that I would have no way of knowing this when I book online. So, what did they do? They cancelled my appointment. I called and tried to reschedule and see what they could do to a customer for which they pretty much screwed twice. The grooming departments answer to this was to put me on hold for so long that it would circle back to the front desk where I had to start all over. I hung up and gave up on them at that point. My review is strictly for the customer service, since I was never given the chance to bring my dog in for a grooming. Go to PetSmart Milpitas for much much better service. I ended up going to Petco. Way to drive your customers to the competition Dublin PetSmart Grooming Dept.

Our dog has visited the Petsmart Doggie Day Camp several times and always has a blast. From check-in to check-out the staff is professional and engaged. I love watching him play with the other pups and the room monitors through the large windows overlooking the store. This weekend we also used their overnight boarding. When we picked him up he was happy, clean and tired instead of stinky and in need of a walk like when we pick him up from boarding at our vet. Thanks guys!!!

Love this Pet Store. I always come to this store for parakeet food, and my mom always comes for fish food. I love how every weekend there is dog, cat, and rabbit adoption events. Its awesome PetsMart is helping find these rescued pets a home. I love the rabbits especially on Saturdays. Been thinking about adopting one recently so Ive been coming in almost every Saturday. It is really fun to pet them and interact with the animals.

They have just about anything you might need for just about any pet and the prices are not bad. Their grooming salon is pretty good. Ive never had any problems. I would like to also make a correction to "kitty k." review below. Petsmart never sold and does not sell cats and dogs. They do have adoption groups come in on the weekend to help find homes for shelter animals.

Took dog for grooming 4x very inconsistent grooming, some made bold spots. Tried changing groomers and every one of them injured my dog somehow. Usually minor bleeding but this last time was a cracked nail that took two vet visits to resolve. They offered to have their vet look at my dog but I am done with Pet Smart Groomers.

I took my Golden Retriever puppy here for the intro puppy training and Morgan was great to work with. Very friendly and she has great advice. I know she has trained several of her own dogs and were lucky to meet one of them, and her dog was very well trained. I would highly recommend taking a training class with Morgan.

HEATHER IS THE BEST GROOMER EVER!!! She did an AMAZING job getting out the mats. Shes caring & super friendly, my 50 lb dog loved her! She gave good grooming advice. Were never going anywhere else because of how GREAT Heather is! Everyone in the salon was kind & helpful to us. Thank you for a WONDERFUL cut!!!

Not great. Searched up and down looking for cat de-wormer and asked 3 associates who didnt seem to know what I was talking about. Good selection of premium food and toys for cats, but unless you have a dog or small animals not such a great selection.

It is a great spacious place. I really like that how they have everything. But I wish that the prices were lower. But I like that there are adoption for cat dogs rabbit etc. Melissa is a great trainer. If you need a good trainer she is the best.
