This store used to be great 2-3 years ago. They had an electronics section, the prices were very inexpensive, and they had a good rotating stock. Ive gone twice in the past 6 months, both times walking out empty-handed, and will likely never return. Heres why: they dont sell certain things like they used to. For example: laundry baskets. I bought a few from them before, but this time they snatched one from my hand and said, "Sorry, we dont sell those." They use their laundry baskets for stocking items, which I understand, but they literally get hundreds of them in donations and have a surplus sitting outside in the rain. No justified reason to quit selling them. Next, the prices of all items have undoubtedly gone up - meaning double or triple what they used to be. Most logo t-shirts used to be a thrifty $1-$3 each - now most are $4-$6 each. All coffee mugs used to be $0.25-$.050, now theyre $0.50-$1. I mean compare it to a retail store - I can buy $1 new mugs at the Dollar Tree, but when they were $0.25, thats beating their price by 4-fold. I can buy BRAND NEW logo t-shirts at Walmart for $5 (really, go check out Dixon), some that are even made in the USA. So my point is, when you go to a thrift store you expect to pay less than what youd pay for the same, new item. Half their store is retail price now. In addition, their selection has dwindled. Finally, they used to have MUCH better prices and quality compared to other thrift stores in a 30-mile radius, but now theyve fallen drastically. What a great store gone to waste...

BEDBUGS! My friend bought a small dresser there today. She opened the bottom drawer at the store and it was full of clothes which she brought in to the salesperson. When she brought the dresser home and took it out of her car a pile of bedbugs began pouring out of the back of it from a crack. This means the clothes inside the drawer were also infested. When she tried to bring it back to the store that day they would not take it because of the bed bugs! So she left it there anyway and drove off because she did not want that item in her car any longer infesting her car. Furthermore the clothing store always seems very disorganized and the furniture sitting outside on the ground is clearly not inspected or taken care of. Buyer beware! I reported them to the downtown Davis Business Association today. They clearly need to be inspected.

Great for certain things, such as kitchenware. The fact that I can get a coffee mug for 25 cents is awesome. Try going to a "thrift" store in L.A. and youll go broke. Only slightly negative thing I have to say about the place is that its sort of a mess. Theres lots of junk you gotta sift through. Upon going out back, I noticed that they had pallets full of electronic waste. I guess they score that stuff and try and sell it. Still, as long as things are cheap (and you get what you want), its perfect.

The place was great. There was tons of stuff for such a small location. i managed to snag i few great pieces. i spent about an hour and a half there, theres so much to see! i couldnt get my little sister away from the knick - knacks . There was an amazing animal print cardigan i regret not buying. im efinitely going back to see if i can find it. The only thing is that they dont have a restroom, but theres one just around the corner, no worries. i would still reccomend it.

Prices are great but it has gone way downhill in presentation, organization, and quality in the last few years. They need to clear out the unsellable junk that has been there for years like piles and piles of old rusty golf clubs and broken items like chipped mugs and dishes. Maybe they need a color coded labeling system or something to better rotate the stuff that hasnt sold for a year. Still has bargain prices if you can manage to sort through the mess.

Sometimes, if you look hard enough you can kind a gem, but overall, a lot of old, used things that most people throw away are donated here. Hence, the super cheap prices. Heck, its all for a good cause though right? Help out the SPCA, reduce landfill trash, and sometimes find that awesome thing you needed or wanted. Great bargains if you have the patience and endurance to pick through the undesired items.

Is it the cleanest, most organized thrift store? Not really. Does it have the best prices in town, for a good cause? Most definitely! The staff here is also consistently friendly and super helpful. Its great to shop here knowing they your money is going to a worthy cause and not a giant for-profit corporation.

We dont look for clothing at thrift stores; were the books and miscellaneous types. Prices are very fair here, store is very crowded. BEWARE of parking on the street - you could get a ticket. Its too bad they cant find a larger store with better parker....but this IS for the animals!

Could spend hours wandering around the SPCA. Its great for costumes (I pieced out an Annie Hall outfit recently) as well as random knickknacks. Im sure if you give things a serious look there are some quality clothes there as well.

Donated items are shoddy and overpriced. Will not work with you if you try to haggle with them and get the price a little lower. When it goes to the spca, its already been through Sallys and goodwill. Twice

Dirty place. The kids working there are more interested in their own conversations that ringing up merchandise for customers. SPCA is a good organization. Their thriftstore is bedraggled and poorly run.

Large turnover of donated goods, though lots of it is kind of junky. I mean, its a thrift store. Discounts on different days for certain groups: students, seniors, etc.

This is a great thrift store and super priced. You get a lot of bang for your buck here. My favorite of thrift stores when it comes to furniture or household items.

Friendly staff, decent selection-- lots of cords, books, and kitchen stuff. Also some good tables, chairs, desks, etc. Not huge, but they back the space they have.
