I do not agree with "Pretty Woman"s review of Nantucket. I have always found them to be very friendly and willing to help,without being too "pushy" trying to make a sale. I must admit that I am definitely a Nantucket fan and wish I could afford many items in the store. Having lived in the Bay Area for many years,I feel that this store can compare to the best of them in San Francisco. The merchandise is quality and the displays are amazing. I have used their design service and have received many compliments about my home. The staff all show pride in their workplace and really show a sense of ownership. I have always enjoyed my visits to the store and will continue to do so!!

I definitely had a "Pretty Woman" experience here today! Unfortunately I decided to visit this store right after I went to the gym this morning. Apparently they look down on people that are not dressed in designer clothes. I didnt realize beforehand that there was a dress code in order to get a "Hello" or "Can I help you". I had plenty of money to spend there today, but was thoroughly ignored by all the staff, even as they passed right by me. From some of the reviews I have read on Yelp, this may just be "store policy". By the way...this was "Shop Local Day". If this is how I was treated on a day like this I would hate to see what happens on a normal day.

Nantucket Home is the store and design studio you visit to find high quality furniture and stylish accessories. High quality and style ARE expensive. If you can find fashionable and durable upholstered sofas and chairs built using kiln-dried hardwoods and 8-way hand-tied construction anywhere for less, Id be astonished. Nantucket Homes furniture is a lifetime investment, not meant to be disposed of when the cover fabric becomes worn or stained--you simply have it reupholstered, which updates the look of your room without your having to locate a cheap new piece that fits your space and your pocketbook.

What a beautiful place, I would live there if I could. I might even say decadent. I fall in love Everytime I go in there. Inspiration everywhere you look. Im only giving it 4 stars because if the price.
