This is not a Verizon store. It is a third party vendor that sells Verizon products at a mark-up. I went there to get a replacement sim card for my phone. To make a long story short the Verizon store in Union City had swapped out my original sim (that worked) to the one I wanted replaced (defective). I didt go back to the UC store because it was a Saturday. I only went to UC originally because its near work. Anyway getting back to the story. I explained what I needed and that I was told by Verizon over the phone that the sim card, after giving the customer service rep the serial number to look up, is defective and not to be used or something to that effect. Its almost as if the guy who works there didnt hear a single word I said. He wanted to know my phone # to look up my account. After looking at my account he said the phone that you want the sim card for is not even on your account. I know I said, Im trying to activate it but need the sim to do so, like I told you. Then he did some more typing and said "this sim card is defective" Yes, I said that is the whole reason Im here, like I explained to you. This went on and on. Till finally he said well, I can sell you a new sim card for $20. Of course this was not an option and I told him so. He then said well we are not a Verizon corporate store and we have to buy the sim cards. The signage looks as if its a real Verizon store. It reads Verizon wireless store. I pointed that out to him and asked him what the name of the store as a third party vendor it is then. He told me its "Wireless store" How misleading is that? I asked him if he knew where a "real" Verizon store is. Stevens Creek. Well the Boulevard is long, where on Stevens Creek. By Target. In Cupertino? I dont know, I guess, I dont live around here, I live two hours away. Bottom line the guy thought he was smarter than me, didnt listen to me and tried to sell me a replacement for something that was defective.

Shady business practices make this "authorized re seller" store more of a used car lot than a place to get a new phone. Tried to just get an upgrade here how ever they would not sell me a phone that was not "bundled" with their way overpriced screen protector, case, and charger... They also were going to change my data plan without really telling me until I caught on that the sales woman had already written up the form to do the change. When I said no I only came to get a new phone I got to talk to the "supervisor" on why I needed to up my coverage that I have been using just fine for the past year with no overages thanks but no thanks. Be aware if you want to come get a new phone at this location you may be paying for more than you ask for. What should have been around $45 in taxes and the in store $20 fee they gave me a quote for $199. Walked out with no phone and a bad taste in my mouth. They also had already started the process of trading in my old phone and did not cancel it which made it a big hassle to trade in through the website which I should have just done in the first place...

I got great service from Omar today! He was very helpful getting my wifes phone upgraded and helping me understand my options to make it the most affordable. It was one of the best customer service experiences Ive ever had. Highly recommend if you have Verizon.

I have been customer for over 10 years and this store has the worst customer service. Verizon need to train their employees properly and equally in all stores. Very unfortunate
