I bought a vintage stove off of Craiglist that was in pieces. I assembled the stove and had the gas company come out and look at it. The gas guy told me that I would need to hire a professional stove mechanic ($300) to replace the safety valve because the oven didnt work and two of the burners that wouldnt light. I went to Sav-on to ask about who they recommend for repairs, and Marsha (the owner) gave me a 20 minute clinic on how to do a diagnostic on my stove myself and fix both issues. To make a long story short, I fixed my stove with her instructions, some steel wool, and a darning needle! The stove works perfectly now. Marsha could have just sent out a repairman and charged me $300 and I would have never known the difference. Were in a recession and her first instinct was to save the customer some money. Thats integrity. By the way, I have had 3 stoves refinished and chromed by Sav-on and bought my high efficiency washing machine, my industrial fridge and a number of other appliances from them over the last 20 years. They are great at what they do and have a excellent stock of vintage appliances.

I bought a refurbished W/D set from Marsha five years ago; we guessed that they were six or seven years old then, so you do the math. Today the dryer quit heating, so I called Sav-on to get an estimate on a service call. Id done some diagnostics myself before I called, and was quoted a VERY reasonable charge for the service, but then told that "90% of the time its a $10 fuse that you can replace yourself." Long story short, with about two hours of my time - partly spent sweeping up a mountain of cat hair - a $10 fuse and one quick trip to Burbank, we have dry clothes again! The service that Marsha offers continues to blow me away. I cant imagine spending what some do for new-new appliances when there are companies like Sav-On out there. Thanks, Marsha!

We bought a washer and drier from Sav-on and have had them for 2 weeks now. The buying process was easy and the owner was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and approachable. We had never bought appliances before so she provided us with a variety of options. Delivery was fast (and free) and the guys doing the install were very friendly and made sure that everthing was level and working before they left. If you want an appliance that is solid, dependable and affordable this is the only place to go.

I have been shopping at this store for years, but not often because ALL their products have been so reliable. My purchases have all been washers and dryers both for myself and my children...usually rebuilt Kenmores which were reliable to begin with. This next month I will be going back for a dryer. I have had my washer (purchased from Savon) 14 years, and its still going strong. My dryer has a belt problem, but still works, so Im trading it in for a newer rebuild. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

There is no doubt about Marsha servicing her clientele as she is extremely knowledgeable, fair minded and fair priced. I bought a Maytag W&D and they stripped it down, cleaned it and replaced any worn out parts. Delivery was on time and her follow up service is true to her word as well. As with all negotiations it is how you approach the seller and how reasonable you are as a buyer. I recommend her without reservations.

I went here looking to purchase a washer and dryer. I received great customer service on what is a good machine and which ones to avoid. In the end I purchased a washer and dryer for less than craigslist was offering and they included a 90 warranty with the water supply hoses, drain hoses, gas line, and a dryer duct. What a great deal!
