My expectant wife and I ordered an item from these folks. We ordered online. I found it a little archaic/odd that they dont provide tracking information via email on a web order, but the item arrived rather quickly. We were satisfied with the shipping time. We realized that we were no longer able to get the crib that we would use these rails with. We refused the shipment and I called the company to let them know wed like a refund once the item arrived back to them (and the only reason I refused the shipment was due to experience with modern-day retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, etc - as this company, again using archaic practices [imo], does not provide RMA and/or prepaid return shipping). When someone answered the phone, the older gentleman was really rude and I was quite shocked, coming from a background in retail/customer service. I was told there would be no restocking fee, but they would not refund the shipping cost ($30, again, a very dated standard). I then waited 7 business days to call them and ask if they had received the rails, as I had no way of tracking their return. Again, they treated me like it was a hassle to give me a call back when they arrived. I called backed (3rd time calling) the next day and discovered the rails had magically made it, in fact they had made it back the day before. I was then informed that I would be receiving $20 less than KnC told me I would receive due to a "refusal shipping charge". They told me at that point I would get an email when the payment refund was generated. They, again, acted like it was a deal to call me back once the refund was generated. Two days later, they did call and leave me a voicemail to let me know the refund had been processed. I waited two business days and the credit still has not shown up on my payment and upon verification with my bank, it is not even pending. I call them back (4th call) and explain this to them. The guy, the one person, who handles web orders is at another store. They tell me they will have to check with him and call me back. So here we are, 2 weeks into this process, and still no refund. I mainly use the internet for ordering larger item purchases for the convenience and savings. I treasure my local companies I do business with and understand their capability and place in todays society. Sure the prices might be a little higher, but they dont try to expand beyond their means. They stay local and make headway but providing services they are equipped to provide. In todays busy world, companies like Amazon, Overstock, Best Buy, etc shine online with great customer service and pricing. They are large companies with deep pockets. Small, hometown companies dont have that luxury, and in this case, try to fill those shoes. This is what happens when a company without the means or ambition attempt to do something halfway. I would not recommend them to anyone: not the pricing, not the return policy, and definitely not the customer service.

Please read the email (see below) I received from Kids N Cribs after I posted my previous review. I think it is important for customers to see the insulting and sarcastic nature of their response. I was told after I placed my order in December that the items were not in stock and that if I was willing to wait I would receive them mid February. When mid February rolled around and I still had not heard from them, I called and was told "it should be shipping out within the week and if you dont get an email from us then call back next week". This has gone on for 4 weeks, and each time I call I get the same line. Yes, Kids N Cribs may not be able to control when items are shipped that are out of stock but they should not tell me for a month that it will ship to me next week if they truly have no idea. I do find it surprising if I am told I will receive my purchased item in 2 months and I still dont have it in 3. Since writing my review online, I received an insulting email and they cancelled my order. I hope I at least get my refund. Below is the exact email I received: Terry - First, thank for your kind review online. I feel its overly negative given the fact that I gave you the ship date of February from day one. Additionally, the information weve provided you has been the same for the last 6-8 weeks. There have BEEN NO SURPRISES. Ive asked Cotton Tales to expedite shipping of your order but given the amount of back orders, the exact timing is out of our control. I sent them yet another email today to make sure your order is shipped this week as theyve promised. Myself and my associates have told you each time you call, that I will update the order with tracking information once the order is shipped. If for some reason, theyre unable to ship the order this week, Ill cancel the remaining items on order so you can purchase elsewhere with more efficient customer service. Bryan

Im not sure if the Antioch Kids and Cribs is locally owned or a franchise, but the lack of customer service or friendliness will make me take my business elsewhere. My husband and I were looking to make a substantial purchase and we were hopeful that Kids and Cribs might be the place for us. As soon as we walked in, the elderly gentleman was pushy, arrogant and overbearing. All he kept saying was "all we need is 1/3 down." Never once did he offer advice or expertise, simply what he needed to make $$. Had he had a bit more class and customer service, paying for all of the furniture in full would not have been an issue. We even gave it a second chance and went back in a couple of days later and the same man walked up to us and said "huh, so, youre back" in the most condescending arrogant tone, then walked away. I will never give my money to the Antioch Kids and Cribs on Lonetree and everyone I know will know what an awful experience we had there. I would rather drive to Timbuktu to give my business to another company.

We have purchased furniture starting with my oldest granddaughter over 5 years ago. We purchased again for my grandson who is almost 3. We also recently ordered furniture for my other son and wife who sadly lost their child shortly after we ordered the furniture. They were over the top helpful to us. We are still going to complete that purchase because we love the set and our kids will eventually have their first baby. Kids N Cribs have quality furniture and they do their best to get your order to you as quickly as possible. I know some of our items were contingent on the mercy of the manufacturer. But they have always been pleasant and more than helpful. We will continue to shop with them because we like quality furniture at a reasonable price. It also helps that the owners try their best to help you get the best for your budget. Thanks Kids N Cribs... well see you soon!

Usually, they are a 5-star business. They were having a sale 2 days ago. I went in and found out they no longer carried booster seats at that location. Fine. I thought Id look around for gifts. They werent busy, so I could manage my two kids okay. My 4 year old told me she had to potty. There wasnt a labeled restroom, so I asked. I was told there wasnt one for me to use. I was taken aback because I had used it when I was there buying a car seat about a year or so ago, and prior to that to change a baby, and prior to that when I was pregnant. I was told to go use the one in Wendys across the shopping center. This accounts for the demotion. I was told rudely, with no explanation, when I had a toddler potty 911. Lovely.
