I came to AT&T only because they had the iPhone. When I first came to Berkeley and found out there were two AT&T locations, my response was natural: go to the bigger store. So I did, which turned out to be a horrible mistake. This bald guy with a bruised eye set up my account and did many basic tasks wrong: switch the order of my dads name(how the f--- do you do that?), fail to add me as an authorized account holder, sign me up for the wrong plan, FAIL TO NOTIFY ME OF MY NEW NUMBER CHOICES, and add a charge for later changing it(without telling me. I found out when I got my first bill). I have a lot more to say and many more problems to report, but Ill save it and hope that you get the idea. GO TO VERIZON!!! Or the smaller AT&T (parrot at&t) is fine.

I needed help straightening out a problem with my account. Actually they were very helpful, promptly solved the problem, and gave me all the right information. I didnt have to wait at all (went in about 4 pm on a Tuesday), there was plenty of staff on hand at this time. The only thing I might complain about was that the guy helping me was chewing bubble gum all the time. Also he and his coworkers were watching some kind of sports event on the computer while waiting for my account changes to take place. But they were more just kind of unprofessional and overly casual than rude. At least they knew what they were doing. In this kind of a store and in this downtown Berkeley location, Ill give anyone a thumbs up just for that much!

Despite the craziness of some of AT&Ts policies, the customer service at this particular store has always been great for me. Every time I go Ive been given the personal phone number of the sales rep I talk to, and last time the guy helping me continued to text me with answers to my questions after store hours. He also clearly put saving me money first - recommending cheaper phones or accessories or even other places to buy because I made it clear that I wanted to save. Yes, dealing with AT&Ts bizarre set of passwords, passcodes, permissions, etc. is a pain, but theyve always been understanding and helpful at this store, including letting me use their phones and waving some restrictions.

I got just what I asked for, which was dedicated help in finding a new low-priced phone to replace my old low-priced phone. Im probably the kind of customer most stores hate because I walk in saying I dont want to spend much money. The rookie sales person gave me great service anyway. She listened to me and made sure everything was in order when I left. She was polite, good-humored, and helpful. Once I got home I realized I could have used a little more information. I would have responded well, for example, if she had told me that I could have gotten an iphone 3gs for $50. She didnt. Oh well. Maybe in two years.

I was greeted right at the door and helped within minutes. I explained my dilemma to Emmanuel Aquino and he showed me the different options I had with AT&T. In the end I got a better plan than I had with Verizon and for way cheaper. Even after leaving the store I texted Emmanuel for help and he went the extra mile and took care of everything I needed. If you are looking for an great easy experience ask for Emmanuel!

Terrible service. I dropped my phone while visiting Berkeley. I asked for a replacement of my IPhone 4 and I was sold an 8 GB instead of the 32 GB I had. The sales person seemed to have no idea what she was doing. When I went to return the phone at an AT&T store where I live, I was told this store is NOT an ATT&T authorized store so I could only return it in Berkeley. Would never go there again.

Do not trust their representatives!!! Especially the guy speaking Cantonese! I think his name is John or something similar. He forces you buy their insurance. If you reject his offer, he wont open the account for you. All words coming out of his month are lies, youd better do some research online before you visit the store.

This is my first and last review for ATT. I have a terrible experience here. PLEASE dont go here or to any ATT stores if you mind your time and money. These people are horrible. ATT is the worst company, theyre are simply a rip off. I would cancel my ATT phone and internet as soon as I can. I cant bear it anymore...

Never in my life have I experienced such a rude and unhelpful service. Agents treated my questions as an annoyance, and didnt even look at my face while talking to me. I left the store and went to get a new phone elsewhere, and recommend anyone to stay away from this store.

Spoke with a representative on the phone. Was asking her some simple questions, and she did not answer them. Instead she repeated a previous answer very sarcastically and slowly, treating me like I was stupid. Highly disrespectful. Poor customer service to say the least.

terrible trying to cancel! cant do it online, call the main number and after holding for 15 minutes they say I have to speak to a different department! Then, after holding for another 15 minutes, they hang up on me! This happened twice - what terrible customer service!

I have not seen anywhere like this place. There a ridiculously large number of people working here, but no body is working. It takes forever to get anything done. I waited there for almost an hour, but there were only 6 customers. I cant believe this.

Went in to return my iPhone 6+ and was greeted by Donnell. I was in a bit of a rush and he took care of me and I was out the door in 15 minutes. Normally Im not a fan of AT&Ts in-store service but Donnell exceeded all of my expectations.

This is the worst AT&T store Ive ever been to! They are the rudest and most arrogant AT&T representatives who obviously do not know how to treat customers properly. AVOID AT ALL COST! Go to AT&T in Emeryville instead
