My experience with Mullahey Ford started out good. That is; no sales pressure, and they had the vehicle I wanted. However, a day after purchasing a vehicle and noticing some minor cosmetic paint issues and learned that the after-sales support was poor. It took 3 weeks to make the minor repairs. We did however receive many excuses. Because Mullahey staff did not return phone calls we had to constantly call and finally we had to travel to the dealership for answers. One favorable comment was the body shop did an excellent job in correcting the paint issue. The new vehicle was supposed to be detailed by Mulllahey after the repairs were made. We received our vehicle back dirtier inside and out than when we dropped it off. There was dirt and smudges all over the doors. windows and trim after being told the vehicle was detailed. They even left a dirty rag on the floor for me. When servicing my new vehicles, I normally return to where I made the purchase. But, with this vehicle I dont know is I will go back for service because of their actions and poor after-sale support by the sales staff. Update based on first service--The first service was free (although I believe nothing was done). I picked up the vehicle from its first service and once again it was dirtier than when I dropped it off. I do expect a $50K plus vehicle to be washed by the dealer after the first service at a minimum. When picking up the vehicle, a different customer service rep was there and very unfriendly. He brought the Explorer out and walked away without saying a word. One of the cashiers is just a grumpy, unpleasant, unfriendly woman. Unfortunately the bottom line is that I will not purchase my next vehicle from Mullahey Ford. Also, I will not bring my Explorer back to them for service, and I do not recommend them.

Called mullahey about vehicle I researched, cash in hand. Called to see if auto was still on the lot. Someone who discribed themselves as an internet salesman answered the phone and stated he was on his way to work and would call back in a few minutes. This was 9:20 am. Approximately 6 pm, no call back but a text telling me he had been to busy to return my call. Wow. Tried to tell me to come by tomorrow but I declined as clearly they must be to busy for me. One phone call back was all it would have taken. Was it still available? Yes or no? Thats all I wanted to know, then I would have gone to the lot and purchased the car. As a business owner myself, I would never give a dime to such a business letting an arrogant representitive discard customers they apparently dont need. Ironically I found the same car that afternoon in San Luis Obispo. I purchased it the next morning. The icing on this rancid cake was this fool of a sales rep then texted me accidentally, the same evening he was to busy to return my call, to say he would be making dinner that night.... not even smart enough to separate customers and socializing. Idiot.

I bought a used car for my wife here a year ago. The experience was amazing. The other Ford dealer downtown sold the car we wanted. So I called Chuck the online manager & he matched their price plus it was a newer model with lower miles. I got the financing I wanted with my credit union & we loved it. So I was in the market for a new commuter vehicle for myself. Couldnt qualify for the low lease I wanted because of my credit but they found a practically new preowned 2015 with low miles that was pretty close to what I needed. I even got a better extended warranty than a new vehicle on it & a bonus free service plan thrown in to the deal by the finance guy. Got a great price for only a few bucks more which met all my needs. All in all it was an easy car buying experience without a lot of pressure. Glad I went back to them. I love the "new" car I got & enjoyed dealing with them. I will definitely be back the next time I need another vehicle. I would highly recommend them & very much appreciate the great service I received.

One star, had to do that just so it would show up. The car was in for 3 full days (2013 Ford Escape under warranty) The did not fix the safety issue. I needed to pick up the car because I was flying to New Orleans Thursday AM, drop off dog at kennel, shopping, had no car all week. When I went in to pick up, the service guy "Steve" indicated that there were no codes to figure out what is wrong so he said "It is not our fault we cant repair the car there is no code showing up" I asked for help with ford, only to be told "you can get that number on line" Then he told me to take it back to the selling dealer. When he told me to bring the car back next Tuesday, I told him I would not, then he said " you are required to bring the car back here because it has an open ticket" When I got in the car, Steve said "your car is low on fuel" Not really low, it was registering on the digital read out ZERO miles left. Called Ford Tuesday and am getting help at Perry in San Luis Obispo.

Bought a used 2004 BMW, 1 owner with 57k miles, and got a great deal with no pressure or haggling. The next day we took the car on a road trip and an unforeseen problem arose with the fuel pump a 120 miles down the road. I called Mullahey from the side of the road and Ron the manager answered. He immediately had a tow truck sent to bring the car all the way back and also paid for a rental car so that we could finish our trip. Amazing! The service department worked very hard to diagnose the problem and fix my car. I know the cost of this type of service, from a 100 mile tow, to a 3 day one way rental car, not to mention the parts and labor, was not cheap and they were honestly happy to do it for us. You dont get that type of care and service from a used car lot. Thats why any time my family needs a car Mullahey can count on us to come to them first. Actually the new 2016 mustang GT looks pretty BA so maybe Ill see you sooner than later!

I expressed interest in a vehicle listed on their website. Two days later they increased the price and told me it was a "misprint." They would not run my credit, or even attempt to negotiate. Actually, the sales rep, Charles Holden, just ignored my questions and I had to ask him twice to run my credit so we could come up with an interest rate, down payment, etc. Most businesses honor their pricing, even errors, as a matter of professional ethics and good customer service. Unfortunately, the sales manager, Greg, just yelled at me on the phone for being upset that they would not honor the original price they listed on their website. No, really, YELLED at me. The worst attempted car purchasing experience ever. These guys are text book lazy sleazy car salesman. They should zero professionalism or active participation in making a sales.
