Worst customer service I have ever experienced! We purchased a full $2,200 bedroom set for my 14-yr old son for his birthday (bed with headboard and footboard, mattress, dresser and desk). The day before the delivery, Reeds called me to say that the mattress did not make it on the delivery truck but they will deliver everything except for the mattress on Saturday and the mattress on Wednesday. On Saturday the delivery guys show up (very nice guys by the way) and start assembling the furniture. While the guys were assembling the bed, we realized it was the wrong bed so we immediately called the store and explained to the salesman who sold us the set that they delivered the wrong bed. After putting me on hold, he returned to the phone and said that the bed we ordered is on backorder and will not be in stock for 7 weeks. I said, “Okay, let me use this bed until the correct one comes in stock and then swap the correct bed out in 7 weeks when it comes in”. He then put the store manager on the phone who gave me two choices: [1] Keep the wrong bed that was delivered, but pay $250 more for it since according to him the price for that bed is $250 more than I paid for the other bed I wanted, or [2] Let them take back the bed and wait 7 weeks for the bed I ordered to come back in stock. I told him there was no way I was going to pay $250 more for a bed that isn’t the one I want (if anything they should offer me a discount off of what I already paid since I was not getting what I ordered). I then told him to take the entire bedroom set back. He (this is the manager mind you) said that he was going to charge me a 20% restocking fee on the desk and the dresser since those items were correct. I explained that I ordered this bedroom set as a complete SET, and that if I was unable to get all three pieces of the set the way I ordered, I don’t want any of it. (I am sure they knew when I ordered this set that the bed I wanted was on backorder and they were trying to pull a bait-and-switch since they knew I would not have purchased the set if it meant waiting 7 weeks for all of the correct pieces.) After discussing it with my wife, we decided that we would just keep the bed if they gave it to us at the same price even though we don’t like this bed as much as the one we ordered. The manager said no – If we don’t agree to pay the $250 additional charge for the bed, he will instruct the delivery guys to take the bed back and leave the rest of the furniture. Needless to say, I told them to leave the bed and that I would be disputing the $250 additional charge with my credit card company and I sent the deliver guys on their way. And since the mattress was not delivered, I cancelled that order and purchased it elsewhere because I did not want Reeds to have a dime more of my money than I was already committed to paying them. Clearly Reeds will lose more than $250 by treating me this way by loss of any future business from me and anyone else who reads this. Even if it was not a bait-and-switch and I give the salesman the benefit of the doubt that it was an accident that he ordered the wrong bed, I would still expect the store manager to make it right. Make one customer happy and he tells one friend, make one customer mad and he tells 50 friends. Since I posted this story on FB and Yelp, I am telling more than 1,000 people my story so I hope the manager of Reeds is happy.

How much broken furniture can you buy from Reeds? Evidently a lot since that was all we received! We went to Reeds after looking for furniture for a month, my family has used them for years with no problems, until now. We purchased two sets a bedroom set and a dinning set. We received the bedroom set about when we were expecting it but it took a few extra days to pick-up since they only do pick-up from 10-5 (I work 8:30 to 5:30) had to have my dad pick it up for us. When we got it upstairs and started opening the boxes we discovered that the headboard was cracked on the two ends where it connects to the frame. We cant assemble the bed without the headboard so I have a room that looks like a lumbar yard and has been that way for 3 WEEKS! We received no service by phone and it wasnt until we brought in the broken piece that they finally addressed the issue. It isnt convenient since were getting married in less than 30 days and have no bed, but it wasnt a deal breaker, then we got the dinning set in. This was a table with a extra leaf, bench, under-table storage, and chairs. The only piece from the table that wasnt broken was the main section of table top: the leaf, legs, storage area, and frame were all destroyed. Not just minor damage there was a chunk of wood missing that had been stained over! There was a hole puched in the side of the storage area and a crack running down the side. The chairs came seperately and were all ok but now Ive paid for furniture from 1-2 months ago and have no bed and no table. And no discount either. They havent fixed it even though its been weeks and if we dont have replacements in a week well take every piece back and file a dispute with our credit card company since they wont let you return at all. Make sure to pay with a card so you can get a refund when your items come broken.

When I read the reviews Im blown away! Our experience was great! We worked with Kevin he was patient and helpful. When we went to purchase our items, Chase bank thought it was fraudulent and declined us. Totally embarrassing as we had to call them twice to get the purchase to go thru as it was a Sunday.... The cashiers were so kind and totally got that it wasnt us... today we received our furniture and having to get the huge items upstairs and than putting an entire entertainment center together upstairs, on apparently a very uneven floor the guys that delivered it, George and Jose were absolutely great! There was some transfer of paint on one of our pieces and they are already planning on coming out to look at it and remedy it. I actually thought the prices were very fair and delivery was free. Honestly after ordering items on Wayfair earlier this year and having to put EVERY single piece together, I would choose Reeds any day!!! I plan to go back and ad a few pieces before the year ends. Bottom line my experience was great, enjoyable and Im so glad I went with my gut and not some of the reviews.

I had a fantastic experience. I ordered countless items to furnish a home I was moving into with nearly no furniture. Everything was delivered and put together and there were even a few items that did not fit and they had to take them back. I never hear an ounce of grief, they were professional, on time and helpful. I have even ordered more pillows just recently to update the look of my couch. I have to say The couch I ordered is commented on by everyone is is SO comfortable, truly a wonderful item. Also, I would be remiss if I did not comment on my beautiful bedroom set and amazing mattress. The Diamond mattress was one of the best purchases ever. Thank you Reeds for filling my home with items I LOVE!!!!
