I came here this afternoon specifically to buy a heater. So I was looking at de display&everytime I bent down to read de features on de bottom boxes this old man was walking by asking if I needed help just swiftly uP & down de isle back&forth idk what he was really doing but I felt uncomfortable as if he was just trying to cop a feel of my bum. Anyways so I picked a heater&I turned around&saw more heaters. There was a bright pink sign saying $15 & that de original office was about 40 so I put de 1 I picked for this other1. I was looking around a little at de Christmas stuff to see if I wanted something else&this older woman interrupted me&asked me to check out&it was just weird I thought clearly I was still shopping but she offered me a cart&I said no thanx so I just tried to hurry it uP. I didnt need anything else. I got to de counter&added a candy bar. De woman was trying to give me an ace reward card so I said OK but she was so caught uP on my phone number&where Im from&about de weather just jabber mouthing away so much I couldnt concentrate. Now, it is important to be polite but not too friendly. Something just wasnt feeling right. She kept telling me to just hit OK on de card machine but I kept trying to tell her I was trying to read it but it was too late. What I thought was a $15 heater was almost $90! "No I dont want this." I felt like she was making fun of me saying no way it was $15. Well OK I misunderstood de sign. So de manager came&made me finish de transaction on my debit card to give me cash back. De 1st lady took&put back my candy bar but they didnt refund it. So I said wheres my candy&de lady tried to give me de wrong candy back. I asked for a receipt&de manager made me a copy of de original receipt. I just didnt understand why she didnt give me de return receipt instead she just wrote return on de original she said she couldnt copy de return receipt. Fine whatever. So somebody was supposed to go back there&help me look at de heaters but nobody ever came&I saw that de sign$15 was for something else. Ok fine. It was just a really bad experience I went home crying. I can probably get a heater somewhere for less money. To much trouble to go there. By time I walked home coincidentally there was a piece of trash from ace in my yard. WTF.

I love this store. Ive received lots of help over the last two years that I have been in Fort Smith. When I just want to browse, they dont smother me. Its a friendly place.

when I called them and asked for a room to be painted...they said they are NOT painters, a hardware store! so why are they in the "painters" section???

Thy have most of the materials one would need, but stay away from their lumber. You cannot pick your own and 1/4 - 1/3 of it is unusable.
