Honestly, the worst comic store I have been to and I have frequented a fair amount of comic stores in the last 25 years. The pros: The gentleman who manages the magic and card section of the store was engaging and polite, they have a nice card section if your into that thing (Im not btw), and they have a fair selection of trade paperbacks. The cons: Very thin stock of new comics, even stuff that came out the previous week was gone, owner is very unhelpful: I asked him about X-men blue and he acted like he didnt know a thing about it! Dude! You own a comic store and you dont know your product or worse your clientales needs? Not good. Owner seemed more interested in buying a box of old comics rather than help customers, and dont even get me started on the young lady working there. She never said hello or can I help you. She had her nose in a dusty box of comics and was too worried about her dog, which should not be in a comic store anyway. ( I love dogs btw) just a really poor experience all around. I will not return.

I agree with the negative reviews below. I made an online purchase for some gaming items from The Bat Cave (James Kellar). The shipment had missing and damaged merchandise. At first Kellar refused to respond to my emails until I made a formal complaint. He responded, saying he knew nothing about the things he sells for a living on a daily basis. This makes him either incompetent, a liar or both. He then refused to send the missing merchandise, replace the damaged merchandise or pay for shipping on a return. Other online reviews say the guy rips off anyone who isnt local to his store. I wish I had read those reviews before doing business with him. I advise anyone buying from this vendor to ensure he guarantees (in writing) his merchandise and return policy. There is no reason the buyer should have to pay for a sellers dishonesty or incompetence.

I know the shop owner personally and have heard his side of the story. These negative reviews are crap. The first 2 give no detail as to what the heck theyre talking about, and the third one is some guy thats mad that the shipping delivery service screwed up. I personally watch this guy wrap every item individually, then pack it as carefully as he would a relatives coffin. Go to youtube and watch what the shipping carriers do to the packages and youll see why merchandise gets damaged. This store is totally legit. Its one of the most friendly and welcoming stores youll find in Conway, and probably most of Arkansas. They have thousands of comic books to choose from, plenty of boosters and singles from Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, baseball cards, and tons of random vintage stuff that you wont find anywhere else.

I have a vile, seething love for this store. Every single time I walk in the store, what does the owner do without pause? Help me out or ask if I need help. This man has the absolute gall to invite me to play board games when Im bored, crack jokes that have the audacity to make me laugh, and to top it all off, he has some of the most interesting life stories around. I cannot express thoughts on this store, as this rant is all I can even put forth.

Great atmosphere and selection. Ive become a regular customer at the Batcave, but I was welcomed even before that. Its the best atmosphere in town for tabletop board games, Magic: The Gathering, and anything else you want. Theres thousands of comics there also. I like that the other players arent snooty and cliquish, rare for a gaming shop. Have a good attitude, and people welcome you getting involved.

I love the bat cave. they have a great community of players and a fantastic Friday Night Magic. However, beware the cat while there. I have been to other card shops to play Magic and they seem cold in comparison to the Bat Cave. There is alway someone around to help you with a new deck, card or idea. They also have an awesome amount of comic books. I can always find one of my oddball comics there.

Love this store, Best store Ive been to the staff will go out of the way to try and help you get what you are looking for. The prices are some of the best Ive seen, the FNM games are some of the best and the players are some of the best you can play with, in sportsmanship. All new items are in the best condition that you can find, even has some of the hard to find items for fair prices.

Even though game cards are not my thing the Batavia seems to be one of the better spots to pick up any game card material. The owner seems very very knowledgeable on all things game card related. I frequently visit to look through the comic back issues, which are half price on Mondays and always seem to find something to purchase. Very friendly environment and worth a visit.

Staff were rude and aloof. Not the least bit friendly. Im guessing if you arent part of their regular click or something, then they dont have time for you. My experience was from a year ago, though, so maybe things have changed. But I have other places to go for gaming stuff, so I have no reason to give it another shot. First impressions are everything.

Absolutely love hanging out here. The atmosphere is friendly, Ive never once been ignored upon walking in. The staff is always helpful, overall its just a great place to be! Best store in Conway, definitely!

Great place to pick up D&D books (various editions), Magic cards, and other card/board/tabletop games, not to mention comic books. They also host gaming events on a regular basis.

Pretty small, Hastings has a better selection of comics and random stuff but the BatCave does host community events so thats cool
