I cant report on their vehicles or how they operate, but I can tell you that Jesse was rude and completely out of line. First, theyre advertising on craigslist as if theyre a private seller. Big no-no. Dealers are supposed to pay to list ads on craigslist, and its unfair to consumers who assume theyre going to look at a private vehicle. Second, Jesse was standing by as my sister and I while we looked at a Mazda3 on the lot. I commented that the tires were mismatched, and that I wasnt too fond of that idea, and that Id never heard of the brand of tires before. I also asked him if his establishment did the paint work. He seemed a little shocked that I could tell it had paint/body work done, and he admitted to having the work done. He even stated that the rear trunk was poorly done and needed to be refinished. I agreed, stating that it was a "shitty paint job." He turned to my sister and said "I dont like rude people. Im not going to sell you guys this car." Thanks, Jesse. You did us a favor. Perhaps the car wasnt a bad car. It was pretty minor, cosmetic stuff that I was commenting on. However, Jesse accused me of insulting him, and as the "owner" of said business, you need thicker skin than that. You should realize that Im not insulting you, Im just "kicking tires." Eleven years in the business, you say? Youre the owner, you say? Man... my comments were weak sauce, yet somehow you took massive offense to what Id said. I knew something fishy was up the second we saw where we were meeting you. Your poor attitude further confirmed that doing business with you would have been the wrong move. I understand why you didnt want to sell my sister that car: because you realized that I knew a thing or two about the automotive business, and you wisely understood that it wouldnt be worth the hassle to sell me a potential junker. However, had my sister gone to your lot by herself, I presume you would have had no problem unloading that car. Youd probably even throw in a full tank of gas, and the missing Mazda emblem, at no charge. What a guy. There are better ways to run a business my friend. I neither insulted you nor your business, yet you felt the need to take a jab at me with the sarcastic remark that I must be "a car expert." Youre right, five years of experience in the industry doesnt make me an expert, but you were clearly threatened, and thats why you kicked me off your property. You say youre doing "extremely well" with your business, but Id wager (by your attitude, the condition of your cars and facility, and the wake horrendous reviews) that youre not doing as well as youd lead me to believe. Might I offer a tip or two to improve your business? 1. Advertise properly like legitimate dealers do. Youre not above the rules. 2. Dont take personal offense to someone critiquing a car. What a poor mistake. 3. Be nice to your customers. Customers put on a face when they go to dealerships. You should at least do the same for your customers. 4. Dont kick an interested customer off of your lot. Honestly, I suppose we were not really interested in the car from the moment we realized wed been duped. You misled us from the very beginning, pretending to be a private seller. Red flag. Why would we trust anything you say from that point onward? This is the epitome of sleazy used car salesman. Thanks again for kicking us off your lot. I owe you one.

I took my car in for some basic preventative maintenance. I estimate the Mechanic worked approximately 5 to 6 hrs. I was charged 14 hrs of labor. This shop uses Flat rate pricing to the extreme. The owner said his mechanic was so fast he could accomplish 14 hrs of flat rate billing in just 5. They dont give you credit for duplicate operations. I was charged 2 hrs to replace a thermostat that obviously required some antifreeze to be drained. I was billed 2.2 hrs to replace a water pump which of course required some of the same tasks. If you use this shop get a written statement for the exact amount of the repair before you leave your vehicle. UPDATE. I return my car today and the owner reviewed my bill. He found that he had charged the flat rate for a rear seal instead of a front seal. He refunded the 4hr overcharge and now I feel better about recommending this shop. I do believe that it was a honest mistake.

Jimmy Shines has provided good working used cars for very good prices to my family (Dad loves his little pick-up!) and to many of my familys friends who are in the market for used cars. With anything you generally get what you pay for, and these are used cars so it is up to the buyer to be informed. That said I believe Jesses prices are fair, and open for some negotiation. If you want to know whats been done to recondition the car, ask. You will find the owner Jesse easy going and honest. Jimmy Shines is used car sales, so of course, Jimmy Shines does indeed do body work on some of their cars. That should be no surprise. Its a win-win practice for the seller and the buyer too. If you are looking for inexpensive transport, I recommend Jimmy Shines. p.s. Too bad the last reviewer confused his freedom to express himself in this country with utter rudeness.

Jesse and his crew have been more then helpful with me this past month. I have a 20 year old mustang that had wiring issues causing my car not to start. Jesse had rescued me a few times, at my work, my house, and at Walgreens. As they were trying to figure out the problem he made sure my life didnt come to an end and put in a loaner vehicle. Ive been more then pleased with the end result and the dedication his crew has put in, that I purchased a Nissan Pathfinder for my daughters first car from Jimmy Shines and will continue my business only with Jesse if any future problems occur or I decide to trade in my Mustang. Thanks a bunch you guys!!!! I will be recommending them to everyone!!! May God Bless You!

My car broke down as the result of a blown heater hose. I had an estimate done at a shop near my house and they wanted to over $900 to do what they recommended. I called Jesse @ Jimmy Shines and he said that same work would be less than $500 at his shop. He picked up my car himself and towed it to his shop. He did everything we discussed plus a break job for just over $600. He pointed out some additional work that will be needed and suggested a follow up plan. I am pleased with everything he has done and would recommend him wholeheartedly.

Lured my girlfriend all the way from Tempe with a Craigslist ad and texts saying he was a private seller. Sounds like hes done this with female victims before, and even when she realized shed been lied to she still wanted to look at the car. Car was way above KBB even if the condition was as-advertised, and it was substantially worse. Dont pay the price for being a nice and trusting person, if youre reading this the cards are in your hands. Run.
