Tried to take me for a few thousand! Knew my thermostat was going out so I took it in to have them check it out before I replaced it to make sure it was the correct problem. No problem with leaking water before I took it there.they ripped out my water pump and destroyed the gasket on it so when I left all the water started leaking immediately by the time I got home( I live 5 minutes away) there was nothing left in my radiator to cool it so of course it looked like I had a major problem. The estimate they gave me was over $6000 to replace the thermostat,water pump and HEAD GASKET. They did not have near enough time to pull my engine apart to even find that out.when I questioned this they told me they would have to send the engine to a shop to even check for this.why they would suggest this is beyond me.took it to 3 other places who could find absolutely no exhaust in the coolant (which was napas reasoning for me needing a new head gasket)and all came to the same conclusion that it needed a thermostat and now a new water pump due to these guys ripping it out and not putting it back in properly to make me believe I needed more work than was needed. Bought the parts and did it myself for around 80 dollars. Took it to the dealer for a tune up and maintenance check...everything was perfectly fine. Tried to get them to pay for the new water pump since they destroyed the old one...couldnt get anyone to talk about it cause either the mechanic that looked at my vehicle was not there or too busy to go over it with me an the manager at the same time.got the run around till I gave up.never go here.

Im sorry that others have had such a bad experience at Mels, but I have to say the gentlemen there were very helpful and had me back on the road the same day. Anthony B. was the one who was in charge of taking care of my care and he was wonderful. I AM a panic button when things happen to my car and I must have called 50 times in two days just to make sure I had all the information I needed before I brought the car to them. He got me a quote on everything I needed and when I found the parts cheaper somewhere else he said "No problem, just bring it down and well get it in for you." They only charged me for the hour of labor that was recommended it take on the screen when they put the work order in and that was $35/hr cheaper than the other place I called. I know sometimes its hard to find someone to trust with your car, but they honestly were upfront about everything and they are always swamped so cut them some slack. We dont have many places that are here in town and in my case my car was dead and wouldnt have made it into CG or Chandler so I am very thankful for the work they did and how quickly they did it.

Took in a wheel hub to have them press out an old bearing and press in the new one. Parking is bad, its a small are full of rocks. The entrance isnt clearly labeled. When I had called first I got a guy that wasnt very helpful, sounded like an older man. He told me to come in and, while he was able to give me the cost of the pressing, could give me no kind of ETA. I believe I eventually got him to give me "4-6 hours." Dropped the part off and about 3 hours later they had it ready, all worked fine and the next guy I dealt with was very friendly and helpful. The unfriendly and unhelpful old man, plus the poor location/parking took a star off. Pricing was as expected.

I recently acquired a used 2010 SRX. This vehicle needed some TLC. Chuck and Jake did an excellent job replacing the electronic power strut in a timely manner and at a fair price. I took the SRX back a week later to replace the backup camera and chrome trim. Once again, they knocked it out of the park! This week, my rearview mirror became disconnected from the windshield. The guys surveyed the damage and referred me to a top notch shop that specializes in this kind of repair work. The work was done professionally and affordably. NAPA is now on my speed dial. HIGHLY recommended. Thank guys!

Ive taken my two cars for oil changes. My husband has taken his commercial truck for repairs and oil changes and has had no problems. They open at 7am, but we never take our car that early but if we needed our car fast its good that they open early. Whenever we do take our cars for service they are always done before the estimated time. I would call and ask about wait time if its urgent for you to get on the road they are very nice to us when i ask.

Good experience each time Ive gone. Ive had 3 issues with my older model car and theyve taken care of all 3 of them quickly and at reasonable price. Not any bologna charges for things. Just fixing the problems. And their interaction with me has been solid.

Based on prior dianostics and quotes Mels saved us well over $400. A tow truck picked up our minivan at 10am and delivered it to Mels Auto. By 12 noon (the same day) Mels had correctly diagnosed and repaired our minivan for under $80. We are so grateful!
