I went to the Goodyear Bestbuy (This one is the Goodyear Bestbuy) attempting to exchange an item, that Goodyear Bestbuy advised I should buy, which didnt work with my internet. I was told previously by the Goodyear Bestbuy that I could exchange the item (even though being past the 15 day mark) for another item, but at the time didnt have enough cash and let them know I would come back in in a few days. Well I had a major life event happen in that time and wasnt able to make it back for a few weeks. When I came back in there was a disrespectful kid at the customer service desk in the Goodyear Bestbuy, and he basically just wanted to tell me, no your wrong you cant do that. I talked to the manager, and let him know that this was complete bs, and their reaction was basically your an idiot, your not getting an exchange, go kick rocks. So, being the person I am I went to the Avondale Bestbuy, and the staff there was much more professional and friendly. After reviewing the circumstances the management at Avondale Bestbuy allowed me to exchange the item (which was still in brand new condition), and made a sale of over $100. The staff was very professional, one of the sales reps came up to me and helped me find what I was looking for as well as tried to get me set up with a cash register quickly, before I let him know I was going through the Customer Service Desk. After I was done at Avondale Bestbuy, where I will be doing my shopping whenever I go to Bestbuy from now on, I went back to Goodyear Bestbuy, and let them know that Avondale Bestbuy did the exchange, made a sale, and how Goodyear Bestbuy messed up. The manager at Goodyear Bestbuy became extremely aggressive and was on the brink of assault. As I walked out of the building calmly, and without shouting the manager of Goodyear Bestbuy was yelling all kinds of stuff at me and then yelled I can never come back to the store, he looked like he was about ready to charge me and start throwing punches. Thats great, because I never want to go to Goodyear Bestbuy again!! I am a honorable navy veteran of 5 years, and I go on that tell you this is a 100% true story. Its worth the extra couple of minutes to drive East and go to the Avondale store rather than the Goodyear store.

Terrible customer service I bought a GoPro with the two year warranty offered by Best Buy. I could have gone a cheaper route but I wanted to be able to replace/repair the camera same day. When the product was sold to me I asked what and how the warranty worked and what was covered. He told me it was covered for water damage, drops, and internal issues. I happily purchased the two year $50 warranty protecting my investment. I ended up getting a crack in the lense cover the day after. I went in to get the camera fixed or repaired so I could continue to film. The young lady at the counter was extremely nice but explained to me the $50 I paid for the coverage was consumed by replacing the camera. I asked to speak to a manager for clarity because this was something that was not explained to me. Enter Anthony... he explained to me what I hopped wasnt the case. I told him that this was not conveyed to me when I purchased the plan. He took an exceptionaly patronizing and condescending tone when he realized I wasnt just going to go away. He constantly inturrupted me boasting about the 15 years he had been working at Best Buy. when I asked him about his tone, he explained he had the experience handling customers. He said he wasnt taking a tone with me and continued to tell me to calm down. I am a Veteran of 5 years in the Marine Corps... I know when someone is talking down to me. I did let one cuss word fly in our conversation and he latched on to that like it was a reason to kick me out of the store. He explained that the young lady, still standing idly next to him, was 17 years old and still in high school. He claimed this was the reason he was outrage with my word choice. Again I only cursed once. When I finally decided to pay again for a new warranty he explained how he had the power to just null the entire deal, refund my money, take back the camera and send me on my way. In reality all he had to do was explain the warranty properly to me and absorb the $25 mishap and I would have been happy to comply. Instead he escalated the situation that could have been avoided.

Awful Customer Experience I have been a big supporter of Best Buy for along time and came to them for all of my electronic needs. I have be rewards member for a couple of years. But not anymore! I recently purchased an xbox360/kinect bundle for nephew for Christmas. After deciding he didnt want the Kinect I though it would be fun and decided that I would keep it for myself. So when purchasing the gift I made sure to verify that it would be compatible with my older style of Xbox360. After being assured that it was I purchased the item. After christmas and my nephew opening his new Xbox360 it was time for him to head home to Illinois where he lived. So I kept the Kinect and let him take the box and receipt just in case there was an issue it would be cheaper for me to send him the lighter smaller Kinect to return the item. After he left I decided to try out the new Kinect, but no luck it would plug into my Xbox360. After calling up 3 different Best Buy locations and all of them assuring me that it was compatible with my Xbox I finally talked to someone who actually look into the problem a tiny bit. He finally discovered that the bundle does not include the power adapter he was apologetic but gave me the only option of buying it myself for 35 dollars not including shipping. He told me with the item not being returnable because I did not have all of the pieces of the bundle. I made sure to point out the fact that the reason it was purchased in the first place was because of the so called experts aka The Geek Squad provided me with wrong information. He was sorry but gave me no options and sent me on my way. I will never use Best Buy again and hope that this will help change the mind of my friends not to use Best Buy as well.

I bought Ghost Armor (lifetime warranty) for my phone a year ago. I bought it at Best Buy on Litchfield Rd in Goodyear, AZ. I bought it from the salesman that was wearing a Best Buy shirt, he sold it to me for $20 and he told me that it had a lifetime warranty and if I ever had a problem with it to just bring it back and they would replace it for free. A year later, after many bubbles and wrinkles had appeared in the Ghost Armor, I finally decided to take the time to return to Best Buy to get the Ghost Armor replaced. When I got there, their Mobile Manager, CJ, told me that they no longer sell Ghost Armor and therefore could not honor the warranty. "But", he goes on, "we now sell Invisa-shield for only $20.99 and it comes with a lifetime warranty." So, this Invisa-shield is basically the same thing as Ghost Armor, and the guy wearing the Best Buy shirt is telling me that he will sell it to me for $20.99 and that it comes with a lifetime warranty. Hmmmm..... dejavu. I feel like I was ripped off, hoodwinked. Obviously the Ghost Armor performed its job well, because after much discussion, I ripped it off of my phone right in front of the Store Manager Mark Mills, told him I felt like I was being ripped off, and left. Underneath the Ghost Armor was a perfectly preserved screen on my phone. I feel that Best Buy should honor the original transaction that took place in a Best Buy store between me and the guy wearing the Best Buy shirt. Ghost Armor and Invisa-shield perform the exact same function, they protect the screen on the phone. I bought it at my local Best Buy store by a person wearing a Best Buy shirt. Enough said, do the right thing Best Buy!
