This place is terrible. They do have a good selection, but everything nice is out of stock. Nobody in the store knows ANYTHING, or at least the wont help you at all. We purchased wood ceramic tiles from this place, with one of the associates estimating how many square feet we would need. Lets just say he over estimated by about $1200 in tile. Then we came back to return it, within the return policy guidelines, and the assistant manager said we were stuck with it because he doesnt have anymore of our dye lot in stock (I was returning more sq ft than any other dye lot they DID have in stock). The return policy says nothing about this. I called the Tempe store and they said they would take it back no problem, and that the Glendale store should as well. So after arguing in front of multiple customers and calling his manager (who was at the dentist) he finally says he will take it back. I did need grout, so I decided to buy it while I was there. When I went to check out and get my refund, numnutz assistant manager yells from his little elevated office that I only get store credit. After going back and forth about it, I finally gave up and accepted store credit. Now I have 1200$ to spend at a place I despise! Fast forward 2 months.. and we are back trying to spend our credit. Other than a snotty associate writing down everything we have in out cart (to earn commission even though she never helped us), no one ever came to lend assistance. Thats fine, I am a young guy and can handle lifting some tile. We didnt pick up enough tile on this trip, so my wife went back to get some more. NO ONE WOULD HELP HER! She asked multiple associates and just got should shrugs and they walked away. one young man replied "yeah its out of stock" my wife replied "okay well I only need one more sheet, Im not sure what size they are but maybe we can piece one together". "Good luck with that" he replied as he walked away. Next, we needed some thin set. My wife walked over to the section and found what we needed. While multiple able bodied men where standing around, she proceeded to load 40lb bags of thin set herself. This store is full of lazy trash. our credit to the store is now spent and we will never return! If you must go, I would suggest the tempe store because they were much more helpful and nice to deal with.

Floor and Decor has the worst customer service and customer satisfaction. I truly believe when they go through the hiring process anyone that seems to care about people or work to resolve problems is disqualified. We bought laminate flooring for our bedrooms. The price was in line with the competition, but they did have a style that we liked so we decided to go with them. Big mistake, we used their recommended installation service which is higher than most. They did do a great job on the installation. We found a defect in one of the boards a couple of weeks after the installation, We called Floor and Decor and the only solution they had was to cut out the defective board and glue in a new one. The defect was where you enter into the room. By doing what they suggested would no longer be a floating floor. Their other suggestion was to put the burden of repair on the installers. The installers told us they would have to totally take the floor apart and reinstall again. A major process. We were not happy with either solution, but since in was one board we asked them to give us a concession on the cost. They refused and had some idiot named Mike call us to argue their point and basically tell us the manufacturer and Floor and Decor had no warranty you were on your own. Finally the installation company did the honorable thing and gave us a partial refund. Floor and Decor got away with no liability on their part nor did they care. If you want to buy from a shady retailer than Floor and Decor is for you.

Customer service, hmmm they dont know meaning. Either the people wearing red vests are blind or Im invisible to the people wearing red vest. Walked into the store past the cashiers they didnt even look our way to acknowledge our entrance to store. We walk towards the wood floor tile area and again ran into other people with red vest on, and again they acted not to see us nor ask if we needed help,etc. We are in store now for about twenty minutes, picking out a tile to purchase, still no red vest has approached us or acknowledges us. We pick a tile so I go find a person wearing a red vest, I see two guys in the aisle, one on the fork lift the other directing him so I wait at the end of the aisle , where they can see me, waiting for them to look up and ask me if I need help. All I hear is the one guy telling the other "they are probably waiting for us to get out of out there way" they dont even turn around or acknowledge us. We are very disappointed on how we were treated. All I can say big mistake on your red vest workers, my wife and I were willing to make a big purchase that day, your store just lost a sale.

This place is awful all the employees are rude and really dont know anything about the merchandise, not helpful at all, you get the feeling that you are bothering them. They all look like they dont want to be there. I bought close to three thousand dollars of merchandise but had to make several trips cause they didnt tell me all that I would need to lay down my flooring and I ordered nose guards for my stairs and was told they would be here in two weeks (14 business days) by three different employees! I havent received it yet, and its been three weeks. When I called to ask about where my merchandise was the employee was very rude telling me that there is absolutely nothing she could do for me, that I should have been told three to four weeks until the merchandise would be in. Now I have to reschedule with my contractor to install the flooring. They did nothing to help or accommodate me in any way.

If you are unknowingly walking into this store with the attitude of "Everyone needs to help me and tell me what I need to buy". Then you probably will NOT like this store. If you have BASIC human skills and know what your looking for or have a contractors list then you will LOVE this place. its a flooring store, not a information desk, people who complain about back orders,employees, or rude customers service probably expects way too much. Ive layer tile my whole life and have been coming here a LONG time. No one has every offended me nor have I had a problem. tons or great stuff tons of options and amazing prices. If u have questions about stuff u need to buy, or whats better I would handle that out before shopping.

This was our 2nd time tackling a tile job. First time at F&D. I was told this was a wholesale place. When we were window shopping. We did get a helpful newbie. When we were ready to design and get a quote. We made an appt w/ design serv. (Free). A week later quote in hand we arrived ready to buy. They moved heaven and earth to allocate and locate my order. Then they wrapped and loaded for us. Did they kiss my ass cause I was spending $$$$? No. Did they make me feel like I was cute and adorable for attempting another diy tile job? No. They were pros. They are polite. They offer classes. I have yet to see anyone sitting around twiddling their thumbs. I will be back my kind of place.
