Please forward to the owner/manager of the Gilbert/Baseline location: I am the gentleman whom you asked to leave your Gilbert/Baseline location on Saturday afternoon. I do not think you understand the implications of asking me, a potential customer, to leave your cafe because I hadnt made up my mind about buying a drink. You probably had no idea that this was my very first visit to Coffee Rush, and ultimately my last due to this experience. Did it even occur to you that, just perhaps, my future visits might yield sales for you? Did you even stop to think that my friends and family, who are at the moment largely unfamiliar with Coffee Rush, might be swayed to visit your stores based on my recommendation? According to your actions today, Id say this didnt cross your mind. What a poor business model. Of course, you couldnt have known that I had been driving for hours and, needing to send a couple of quick emails, decided to swing by Coffee Rush to see what all the hubub was about. I was greeted by a friendly cashier, who upon seeing me enter, didnt press me to buy a product. Up until the moment when you confronted me, I had actually had a pleasant experience. I liked the atmosphere, the smell, the cool A/C on a 110 degree day. I liked the fact that Id be supporting local business instead of larger chains, such as the one Im sitting in right now as I type this up for you. Im a Sustainability Major from ASU, an employee of an incredible company that takes customer service very seriously, and I am often inclined to support local businesses, buy local, and pursue businesses with a sustainable outlook. I cannot comprehend why you would ask me, or any customer in similar circumstances, to leave. There was no apology, there was no explanation, there were plenty of empty tables, and instead you decided to make an eneemy when a friend was easily within your grasp. I was planning to spend a few minutes in your store to relax and send an email or two, scope the place out, and determine if it was a viable place for me to stop in the future. Looks like I received my answer.

Been a frequent flyer at Coffee Rush for about 6 years now. Such an amazing environment and a great place to connect with others and network. Very easy to follow rules which I feel are more common sense than anything. Smoking patio makes for a very enjoyable experience and driven more around the happiness of the customers and very fun/friendly staff. 6 years ago one of the baristas made it so easy to get away from the cooperate coffee companies and opened my eyes to a world of local coffee shops. Her extensive knowledge on coffee and willingness to help a newcomer was unbelievably exceptional. Now I walk in and my drink has practically already been made as they see me in the parking lot. Amazing staff, and definitely a one-of-a-kind coffee shop. Very enjoyable experiences for 6 years, as I say again, and definitely more years to come. I will always support Coffee Rush with their very open/friendly environment and their very wide variety of coffee beans, hot teas, green and black tea flavor selections, and not limited to those, but Italian sodas and blended drink options. Ownership of the establishment is definitely in the right hands, and the owner himself is a very friendly and personable guy. Always support local businesses!

I used to come here once a week for a year with my daughters lgbtq youth support group after meetings. We usually came with a group of 12 or 15 older teens and adults. Everyone purchased something . But the staff was incredibly rude . Personally I dont like coffee and I cant drink anything with sugar so the choices were very limited. But we came because it seems like a friendly and open place. Sadly it was not and the manager asked our group not to return. The kids brought in a lot of business and we tried to ensure that they always cleaned up their area after they were done. Can only assume that they didnt want gays at their establishment. I was stunned after we had been such loyal customers that they would turn us away. We have taken our business elsewhere to more tolerant establishments. Frankly Im relieved because I couldnt stand the Smoky atmosphere and the people all smoking right by the doorways because the smell of smoke permeated the entire area inside and out of the restaurant.

Great atmosphere until the staff ruined it with terrible service. I was with two friends who had refereered me to coffee rush waiting on other friends to arrive before we ordered. When I went to order I asked for a sample because how am I supposed to know if the coffee is worth the price without having a small sample. I was denied although what upset my group was that the cashier told me we had to order immediately or he would have to ask us to leave with ,an agressive tone. I said I will order I just wanted time to think about what I wanted. He quickly replied with "well you better do it quick or you have to leave". After that I had no in treat in doing buisness with coffee rush. My group left immediately and coffee rush just lost 5 possibly life time customers. They wouldnt even answer the phone so I could speak with the manager. Coffee rush doesnt have patience for its customers.

This coffee shop was one of my favorites for a few months. I really loved the service and they treated me great. I was moving to Germany and decided to invite a few friends there to meet up for a goodbye party, and a few of them didnt buy any drinks. I know that its courteous to buy something when youre hanging out somewhere, but these guys told me that if my friends didnt buy something that hed kick us out. We all bought stuff, but he continued to treat us like scum. When we were leaving, one of my friends, honestly and courteously, went to tell the owner that she thought the service was really unkind. He then continued to tell her that none of us were never allowed in his café ever again. Anyways, Ive been there again since then and he didnt remember me anymore. The point of the story though is, watch your back fellas.

Coming from a Valley native who has tried a good portion of the coffee shops in the Phoenix area, I must say, this place is the real deal. I went here on January 4th of 2016. So this is a recent review. This place has the most delicious blended coffee around, and Im very particular when it comes to that. That server/barista was very attentive and helpful as it was my first time going there. The prices are much cheaper than Starbucks, to a degree. The overall environment just makes you want to come back. It is very well maintained and the menu is much more simple than the average Starbucks menu, they have sizes that make sense; as in, small, medium, large; none of that grande, venti, or tall. But I have really bad OCD and a very particular coffee taste. All in all, Id definitely recommend this place. Keep up the great work!

I have been coming here and the other locations for 15 years. I have always had a great experience. There has been about a dozen times the owners have helped my mother and I with computer techie stuff. The coffee is awesome, huge fan of the cheescake, and the atmosphere is very cozy. A lot of the customers are regulars and also friendly.I dont understand why there is low marks about this place. The owners are very friendly, helpful, and thoughtful of others. Every time Im there spending hours doing school work, the owners and the employees greet everyone with a smile, chat if their not busy, and often asks if you need anything. Keep up the awesome work! Wishing you guys had a location in California!
