My daughter and I stopped here on the way home from the Post Office because we couldnt find a Starbucks. Wow am I glad there wasnt one anywhere around because this place is AMAZING!! Its a very small coffee house with low lighting and comfy couches/chairs, along with a few high tables. It looks like they sell coffee, smoothies, pastries and ice cream. There very well could be more but thats what we saw. I told the Batista that wed never been before and asked what shed recommend for Iced Coffee. She asked me a few questions and per my answers said she could make a cinnamon but iced latte. My daughter ordered an Ice Caramel Macchiato. We also go two Brownies. Let me tell you, I took one drink of my iced latte and wish I had purchased the large size because it is so incredibly good!! From this day forward Ill be buying my coffee from this establishment when Im within 10 miles of it. Not to mention its incredibly well priced and you cant beat delicious and inexpensive. Id HIGHLY recommend this place to any coffee lover in the Valley. Extra thank you to the delightful Batista who has now gotten us addicted.

They have the worst customer service in the Mesa coffee business. If you appear trendy and cool, with lots of tattoos and piercings, youll probably be fine. But if you actually take care of your heath, look good, and have a pleasant disposition, you can forget it. They will hate you for it. Im not kidding. This place is all about misery loves company. They appear to discriminate against military vets, bikers, and the disabled. Remember the Soup Nazi on Sienfield? Well, these are Coffee Nazis, except theyre not from a fictional sitcom, theyre real, and have no class. Im surprised these yahoos are still in business. As far as their coffee goes, it tastes like sunburned ass to me, but your tastes may vary.

This is my favorite coffee place in the area, and I say this as someone who is picky about coffee and was skeptical that any place in Arizona could compete with the coffee shops I frequented on the east coast. This place has a lovely, hip-but-homey ambiance, and baristas who are knowledgeable, skilled at their brewing and preparing and offer a very welcoming brand of kindness without being obsequious. I often stop in for the tea but have a penchant for the 24 Karat Gold Rush and their mochas. Their basic brewed coffee is rich and properly strong. I would recommend this spot to anyone.

Been here twice and not impressed. For a cafe their teas did not meet my expectations. Also ordered a blueberry muffin and it was not good. It was dry and crumbled when I picked it up. I ordered a brownie a second time and it did not taste fresh. Staff did not seem to care about customer service such as not being greeted when I walked in, not helpful when it came to helping me with options, overall not rude but not appearing to want to get to know me. I will not be revisiting this place.

I have tried several different coffees, including their French pressed coffee and I havent had a bad cup yet. The baristas are helpful and friendly. Their sandwiches are really big and taste good but a bit pricey. The sides that come with the sandwiches are okay. The only other food I have tried is their cinnamon roll, which dry and a bit tasteless. I love the sofas and the general atmosphere. It is a great place to drink really good coffee and talk.

The Lost Ducthman coffee house is my favorite place to go in the morning and on my days off. Its a great place to hangout if you want some coffee, food, ice-cream. And peace of mind. They have excellent Wi-Fi. The girls that work here are beautiful and friendly with wonderful personalities. Id recommend the lost ducthman coffee house to anyone just looking to get out the house and having a peaceful place to chill.

What a sad commentary on society this business represents. Had to use the restroom really bad when coming into for coffee. But the employees would not give me the key to the restroom until I purchased something FIRST. How pathetic that my value as a person and customer is based on the fact that I must PAY to even perform a natural human body function. I will never be back to this place.

My fiancé and I love to stop at small coffee houses when we travel, and this place did not disappoint! I got the 24 karat gold rush and she got Caramel macchiato. The gold rush was much better than the macchiato, but both were pretty good! The shop was nice and had a great atmosphere! Very happy we stopped there! Would recommend for anyone traveling to Phoenix!

The fact that I can bring my dog into the Dutchman is the main reason I keep going here. Of the few coffee shops on this street, this is the only one I will patronize from this point forward. The service is always friendly, which is not the case at the hipster place across the street. So glad they are in my neighborhood!

My go to place for coffee. Cool vibes and great service. The gold rush is just the right amount of pick me up and their coffee roast is awesome. Always adding new special drinks and teas so you gotta check in from time to time. The affagatto is a nice treat as well. Of all the downtown mesa coffee shops this is my #1.

Best cup of coffee I had while in Phoenix for a business trip. If I make it back to Phoenix, Ill definitely get my coffee here. Smooth espresso. Slightly floral-ly. I had the 24Karat Gold Rush. 16oz cup, 4 shots of espresso, steamed milk. I added vanilla. Staff was also friendly. Was here 23Feb2017.

I was turned away 10 minutes before close. This was my first time frequenting the establishment, and I feel this is terrible customer service. If you are ok going to a place that turns away customers earlier than indicated, this is your type of place. Will not be back.

Generally the coffee and other beverages are pretty good but this morning (5/28/15) I got a dark roast (Sumatra) and it tasted like soap. Not sure if it was just the cup or the lid or if the pot wasnt rinsed out properly, but it wasnt good.....

Ah this coffee house is such a good local business, I drop in once a week for their Gold Rush, A simple 8 oz of expresso, Half and half and vanilla. Service is good and the breakfast food is usually good as well. Give it a try.

I was too early for the library and found this little place by accident. That wont happen again, Ill come here on purpose! I thrive on caffeine, and this is the kind of pit stop I need to get me though to lunch.

I went in on a Saturday about 1:30. The clerk was friendly, as she served me my espresso. I added hot water to my espresso, it was great. The interior was in good shape, table was clean. Prices are reasonable.
