This is the worst pharmacy Ive ever been to, hands down. I went there for the first time last week to get a prescription filled, using the drive-through window. I dropped off the prescription and my insurance card and left to go grocery shopping. When I returned to the window an hour later to pick up the prescription, I handed the attendant my credit card and told him I was there to pick up my prescription. He handed me the prescription log to sign; I did so, and then the attendant told me that my insurance card had expired. I told him that was odd as Id just received a new card and he said hed check it again, and that I should pull around the building to wait in line as they needed to help the cars behind me while they checked on my info. I pulled around, and when I got back up to the window the attendant told me that my insurance was expired, and that Id just have to pay for the prescription. I was sick and needed the medicine, so I agreed; he asked me how Id like to pay for the prescription and I told him to use the credit card Id handed him when I pulled up the first time. He told me that I hadnt handed him a card. I told him that no, I had indeed - he looked around for it, but could not find it. Furious, I told him that Id have to drive home to get my husbands card as I only had one on me - the one Id just gone grocery shopping with. He seemed to think this was rather amusing. I drove home, got my husbands card, and canceled my own card on the way back to the pharmacy. When I returned, they had still not found my card; to make matters worse, the attendant at the inside register then sold me someone elses prescription, which I luckily noticed before I left the store. When I got home, I called my insurance company and sure enough, my insurance was fine. I called the pharmacy back up and told them this, and they told me to come back to the pharmacy to pick up the refund I was due. All in all, its taken me three trips to this pharmacy to go through the procedure of getting a prescription filled, and I had to cancel my credit card and call my insurance company, all as a result of their errors. To make matters worse, none of the attendants ever apologized for losing my card or messing up my insurance. I highly suggest that you avoid this pharmacy at all costs, using one of the other establishments in Tuscaloosa. Getting a prescription filled should never be this arduous.

This pharmacy is currently closed due to damage suffered in the tornado that hit Tuscaloosa on April 27th, 2011. Will the pharmacy reopen an if so, when? I dont know, but no evidence indicates an effort to rebuild as of December 11. It was definitely the most convenient CVS location for those of us who live/lived near the University.

This is the absolute worst CVS, especially the Pharmacy! They always mess up my prescriptions, IF they even have them in stock. They never have them filled when I place my order online days in advance. The Pharmacy Techs are horrible & rude.

was overcharged $20 and the store managers refused to refund. absolutely terrible customer service. pharmacy techs were rude when calling. should have viewed other reviews before trying here. will not return to a CVS.

Helpful pharmacists, but when theres a line at pickup, drop off, and the drive through with phone calls coming in, having only two people back there at 6 pm makes the waits ridiculous.

The pharmacy repeatedly gives me the wrong brand of generic meds. If I request (demand) generic X, why would you give me generic Y?? Better profit margins? Shame
