DEAR MONTGOMERY..PLEASE REVITALIZE THIS MALL!!! Stop only focusing on downtown/far east side and help the rest of the city will ya? We cant afford to lose another indoor mall. Fix up dillards, bring a new store to where Sears use to be and put in some better stores in the main mall section instead of all these rachet stores. Follow what bel air mall or the riverchase galleria is doing. Bring the mall back to life because I feel like it is dying before my eyes. Our city is too big (over 200,000 people and number 2 in the state believe it or not) to not have the same amount of National retailers as other cities our size do. We have got to do better Montgomery. I shouldnt have to drive all the way to Birmingham or Atlanta to know good shopping. Bring in a Macys, H&M, Saks 5th avenue, ect to give the mall more appeal to outsiders. I grew up in this city and I always would envy other cities because they have more than what we have. At least give the mall a better look. Update the food court, do something other than just letting it die because I know none of us want it to end up like Montgomery mall did. If you want better clientel just beef up security to make customers feel safe and make the mall a helluva lot better than what it is. I hope yall read this review because If this mall closes then we as a city have nothing else but eastchase. Its sad that we cant even support more than one mall smh. Do better, just please do better FOR THE SAKE OF THE PROGRESSION OF THE CITY

This mall is private property. Just so you know. Alas, A mall is a mall but this one is dying slowly much like the Montgomery mall. There are 3 anchor stores. One is shut down and the store left. There are a few empty stores. The roofing everywhere is clearly getting old and it is starting to get mold. This place is very unkept. The owner obviously doesnt care. Nothing online about this mall is ever kept up to date. Ever. The mall offices have more security than the entire mall. ***Warning*** If you have ever gotten something stolen here, you will not have any chance of getting it back. The security cameras are just revolving non stop 24/7. Pizza places have come and gone. There is an empty food restaurant called mommas grill, it is used for storage for the Chinese places. Subway is the healthiest option available at Eastdale mall besides Chick-Fil-A. But I hate subway here. The people are rude and the workers are always in the back unless called to the front. Tuna is very old and bad. The cookies are always stale and hard. I would never recommend this to anyone. Every other restaurant in the mall is greasy and fried. So be careful. Also, the Chinese places have a very low health score. This place really sucks. Its a shame :(

Stopped by the mall tonight to get in a little last minute shopping.. Huge mistake. I had predicted the demise of this mall a few years ago, I did not expect my prediction to come to past so quickly. I counted at least a dozen empty locations, and most of the stores inside are catering to a specific ethnic group with baggy pants. The Dillards looked like the left over crap from a goodwill store, Sears was empty, most of the stores were empty unless I wanted a ball cap, baggy pants, a pin stripped suit with square toe shoes. It is very very said, I grew up in this mall and I have never felt unsafe at this mall until tonight, I was without a doubt "out of place" in here tonight and felt scared on several occasions. It looks like the owners, Aronov, are trying to keep it up, but with a declining clientele the shops are leaving in droves and it shows. They need to shut this place down and raze it before something bad happens here.

"The owners" of eastdale mall need to post signage and update their website regarding the code of conduct/rules and regulations. We were made to leave by security because my boyfriend was "flagged" as a potential threat while discussing a job opportunity with a kiosk operator. The factor that made him a potential threat? A Kabar, sheathed at his waist, completely complying with Alabama state laws. He pointed out several other people not complying with this invisible rule and was told "they werent flagged as a threat". This tells me that he was profiled based on race AND appearance. With NO indication that he CANNOT carry his kabar when complying with Alabama state laws, we have EVERY reason to take legal action. Are you so cheap that you cant provide signs or pay someone to update your website to include your rules and regulations? If less than one star were an option, it would be given.

This mall used to be a great place to shop, but now its horrible. It has become quite rundown and ghetto over the years. All of the good stores pulled out and are gone now. There are physical fights all the time, so its not a safe place to be, especially at night and on weekends. It does have an ice skating rink in the center part, and theres a food court with multiple options. Theres also a Chuck E. Cheese for kids with a separate entrance so you dont have to walk through the mall to get there. Other than that, theres no reason to go because all of the good department stores are gone. I wish they would do something about it because it used to be a great place to shop.

Dose of nostalgia straight from the 80s in this mall. Can you remember the days when you would actually go to a mall instead of just ordering stuff? This place has a food court thats pretty good in my opinion. Also, even though most malls are withering away, Eastdale manages to find a way to keep a majority of the stores open, even though they come and go a lot. As for parking, I havent seen the lot full since the first Jurassic Park realesed in the 90s, so dont worry about not having a spot. Oh, and Im not sure about the theater situation, when you read this it may or may not have one. Anyway, this isnt a bad mall, but it is aging.

I actually found quite a few things in this mall and wouldve given them 4 stars if it werent for the horrible customer service at Rue 21!!! There were 3 employees all sitting down between the 2cash registers, engaged in alot of convo and gossip. 2of them were sitting on the counter, with their legs over the other. If that sounds ridiculous and made up, I wish I wouldve taken my phone out and took a pic. Not once did they ask if I needed help, or any of the other customers in the store. When I was ready to check out, I had to say "Excuse me, can you ring me up?". This was on Thursday night, Aug 11th. I still cant believe it.

Pretty run down mall, seemed like it would have been great in 1987, arcade was TERRIBLE... all games are from 1985-1990ish, a lot of broken machines, 1 skeeball out of 4 was functional, no place to spend tickets, two creepy old men sitting around tool sets (i guess they work there) but not fixing anything, Ice skating rink seemed to be closed at the time, stores were fine, rest of mall seemed dated.
