#1: This company is hilarious. Since their first year of business, they brag and scream about having a 50% off sale. News flash: When you mark everything down to 50% all the time, it isnt a sale at all, its just what the price is. #2: We ordered 4 chairs for our table at our house. We took them a chair from our table to match the stain. They said it would be 4 to 6 weeks. 6 to 8 weeks later I decide to call them. My chairs arent in. NExt week, nothing, another week, nothing. Finally, over 3 months later, my chairs arrive. I walk in and see them sitting behind the counter. The stain is SO not even CLOSE to my existing chair that I swear in my head "Those cant be for me". Sure enough, they were. I tell him that the stain isnt even close. I even ask him "Do you think that stain matches at all?" The guy admitted it didnt. Then I notice a huge thumbprint on the stain in one of the chairs and point this out to him. He says he will fix it and I say fine and leave. The next day We get a repair on our car that cost $600. I could either wait, longer, and HOPE my new chairs match my table, or ask for a refund and fix my car. Hmmmm, tough choice. I called American Oak and asked them to refund my money, which they did... which is why I give them 2 stars, and not one. I also gave them two stars because the owner finally decided to hire someone to do commercials for him. For years he was doing them and he is not a TV person, and certainly does not have the voice for radio.

Wow! What a surprise! I havent been in American Oak in years, because I thought they only sold early american unfinished furniture. Well, they had fabric sofas, leather sofas, rocker recliners in leather and fabric, sectionals, beautiful bedroom suites and much more My favorite thing was their painted furniture!! They had a beautiful green kitchen table with matching sideboard that I loved. Also, I found out they have the rustic farm tables and can have them made any size and finish you need. The staff was awesome and very knowledgeable! I will definitely be back and cant wait to tell my friends!
