This is a review about the Indianapolis west 38th street location. I gave them a 3 overall, because I have dealt with the Mishawaka, IN location, as well as the North Indy (near I69) location and have had good experiences. Staff has always been friendly and helpful at both locations. I ordered my daughters bedroom set this past Tuesday the 7th in the afternoon around 4:30pm. I needed her set delivered and assumed it would be later on in the week. The sales rep that handled my transaction stated that they offered same day delivery. I thought that was great! So I finished my transaction and was on my way. Tried to rush home, because I assumed that they would be at my home around 6pm or 7pm at the latest. 6:30pm rolls around and no call or anything.7 pm rolls around and I finally decide to call for an update. I call and speak with a manager. I believe her name was Lauren. She mentioned that the delivery truck was on its way back to the storeand would be out to my home soon. When 8 o’clock hit I was a little worried. American Freight closes at 8pm and I hadnt received a call with an update or anything. The person that answered said that the manager was in the back helping to load the items. I informed the rep if they could just cancel delivery for that day and just move it to Thursday between 1pm-6pm. She relayed the info to the manager and asked me to just confirm the following day, because she couldnt confirm the exact time of delivery. I called the following day after about 11am. The sales rep that answered the phone was actually the same person that sold me my items (William). Long story short, he was rude and acted like I was bothering him by even calling. I guess the fact that he got my sale negates customer service. Side Note: All sales made here are final. I ended up having to go in to the store because while on hold for the manager, their line hung up by accident?? Not sure. I went in and explained the situation to the manager and also explained that William was pretty rude on the phone. Lauren kind of nodded and agreed with me, but it didn’t seem like she was really going to resolve the issue. We agreed on a new delivery date of Friday the 10th. I had more flexibility that day, so it worked better for my schedule. Lauren did mention that she notated my account to make sure that my stop would be one of the first. Well it is now 3:45 pm on Friday and I have been waiting all day for furniture to be delivered. No updates have been given and I’ve had to call twice about the status. The first time was around 12:30-1pm and the manager mentioned that the delivery truck was back on its way to the store. The second call was made at 3pm. The manager mentioned that the delivery truck had a flat tire, but she would make sure my stop was the first once it got back. At this point, I don’t believe what’s she’s telling me. Super disappointed in my experience with American freight on West 38th street and probably should have just gone with Value City or The Room Place. Since this was a bedroom set for my daughter, American Freight had a better selection for her age range. I have already advised against this location to family and friends. Their customer service needs an overhaul. I don’t know what their product quality is now, but my daughter’s last bedroom set lasted 6 years. The only reason we got rid of it was because it was purple with butterflies and she was too old for that (her words...lol). It was still in decent condition when we gave it away. The original manager and staff of this store were great. Please make sure to shop around before making a final decision. And if salespeople are rude, take your business elsewhere. I had already checked out their site previously and my daughter picked out her bedroom set, so I knew exactly what I needed when I went in. My experience was absolutely awful. I came on Thursday 07/20 and bought a mattress and bed (paid in full the day of). I told the associate that I would be picking it up Tuesday (07/25). We get there Tuesday afternoon, and they have the mattress, but not the bed frame. The associate that I originally bought from was there and told us that we can come back in an hour (I live 25 minutes away) , or he would be able to drop it off himself at the end of the day. I said he would need to drop it off, because the help we brought for the move had to leave at a certain time. I then asked would you be able to help set it up, because I wasnt sure if my dad would still be there and I dont know how to set up a bed by myself. He said he would help because it should only take a few minutes. Fast forward to the afternoon, the guy pulls up with my new bed attached to the roof of his car. He thens drops it off in my living room, states that hes feeling sick and needs to go to the hospital, and leaves. My dad, who was thankfully still there sets up the bed. But just to put the icing on the top of the cake they did not include the screws needed to attach the headboard. So my issue isnt the associate, I understand he was sick, but why was there no one else able to deliver/help when 1. I arrived with a U-haul for my bed and it wasnt there. 2. I then stated that I would need help setting it up 3. I have to drive an hour out of my way (25mins there and back), to pick up these screws, to then set it up myself. I will definitely not be purchasing from them again, no matter what the prices are.

horrible customer service today I was lied to multiple times by Lauren she claims she is a manager but it seems like she was part of a kkk do not get anything from these people your better off going else were they wanted to deliver my furniture for 80 dollars thru a guy I guess there contracted thru troy guy driver came to my house today which I live 25 min from the shop didnt install legs nor did they even put in room do not I repeat go to this location they are the worse experience an very racial not good for business dont take my word you will see

Thats all fine and dandy for you all and whatever company you subcontract with. I still paid a lot of cash for a wobbly dining table and chairs which the screws wont stay in and not just that. That isnt my complaint though. My complaint is that up until my warranty ends, I have to come out of pocket any time some thing is damaged or go through the hassle of finding someone with a truck even though I have a warranty. I understand you subcontract with a delivery company. I just have never heard of anything like that...

Well a month and half has gone by and finely are couch is here.. "Not" The manager said its in and will be delivered the next day. We call to say we would like to pick it up they then say sorry its not on the truck! I ask what do you mean? Long story short they ask if we would wont a different couch! What why would they ask that this we paid over a thousand dollars!! Needless to say we will be getting a refund!!! Never go to this place!!!
