BUYERS BEWARE: I ordered a custom made marble fireplace from Zach at the Gatz on 3/20/2014, one (1) year ago. The Gatz received the fireplace shipped in from China, upon which one piece was cracked. I was offered $100.00 off for the mishap with the guarantee that they could fix it without ever noticing the crack. The Gatz then shipped the fireplace to us, upon which we opened the crate and immediately noticed that two (2) more pieces were cracked and the piece they had repaired was sloppily mended, with the crack still showing. I contacted the Gatz the day of delivery, as instructed, with my findings. Katherine apologized and said Zach would be in touch. As of today, March 25, 2015, the cracked pieces have not been replaced or repaired and I still have an unfinished fireplace. The Gatz has done absolutely nothing to resolve this matter, so I contacted my credit card company hoping to dispute the final payment of 50%. Zach at The Gatz, disputed my chargeback, claiming that I, THE CUSTOMER, had lied about not having a functional, installed fireplace. This dispute has been going on for more than half a year, and I have yet to receive any resolution, refund, and simple apology. Bottom line, do NOT buy from here. The product was below average in quality with multiple repairs besides the cracked pieces, and the customer service is one of the worst I have ever dealt with.

My husband and I have searched everywhere for pieces to match our dining table that were reasonably priced and in good condition. The Gatz was our jackpot. Not only did we find pieces that were perfect that didnt break our bank, they offer a full restoration service before the pieces are picked up so the drawers etc all work well. No other antique dealer weve met has offered this at no charge. We drove over an hour to take a look at the pieces we picked online, and met the entire family, all of whom were polite and knowledgeable. They showed us our pieces directly in their warehouse, and even assembled one that had recently arrived from Belgium so we could see what it looked like. Every penny was well spent here and we will certainly be returning for more additions to our furniture collection.

I’ve not met a finer operation than The Gatz when it comes to discovering, importing, restoring and reselling extraordinary pieces of furniture, lighting…really, the type artifact you’d imagine the museums took off the market by now. The Gatz is special—the staff is outgoing and knowledgeable, the selection is fascinating and ever changing, the items are so exquisite that my wife and I keep coming back. Because we’ve been so thrilled with each interaction that we’ve had with them, at the time of this review my wife and I are considering our seventh purchase. From our knowledgeable perspective, they are the best at what they do.

I had been looking for weeks for the perfect mantle for our living room. When I saw the photo on The Gatz website, I knew I had to have it. Zach was so helpful- sending additional photos and measurements- making me comfortable in knowing that I was buying the right piece. From ordering, to delivery, to installation, Zach was always available to answer questions. In fact, we were having trouble finding an installer and he was able to find someone for us. St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Warrenton,VA worked with The Gatz to create a 7 ft. bronze statue of St. John for the front of our church. We worked with Zach Bradshaw, of The Gatz, through the whole process from selecting the design, altering the design, through developing the clay mold, casting and finishing the statue. The folks at The Gatz were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable of the process and provided excellent guidance for us throughout. We certainly highly recommend that you consider using the good folks at The Gatz for your next project.

Fantastic quality, unique, antique furniture! Our "Hunt" table was even better than expected, really a beautiful and fantastic piece! John and Cheryl are excellent to work with and very accommodating in allowing a layaway payment option. The table was carefully wrapped for shipping and delivered by blanket wrap as promised. They handled the shipping for us, so I did not need to find someone in their area to ship across country. They have a wonderful eye for unique pieces and I look forward to our next purchase!

RIP OFF Purchased a pair of gates they claimed just need to be sand blasted and painted. After sand blasting and uncovering what was hidden under all the paint, amateur welding (at best) and the gate were beyond repair and had been cut up and broken before. They claimed they knew nothing about it but described all the cut up panels. Stay way from these clowns.
