Tonight I had a horrible experience shopping at my favorite Goodwill in Yuba City. I was at the cash register at exactly 9:00 PM (05/24/17). The closing manager Mackinzi said sorry, with a big grin, I cashed out the drawers and my register says it is 9:01 PM. She was extremely rude and said I would have to come back tomorrow. I showed her the time on my phone showing that it was 9:00 PM. She continued to rudely state she would not help me. I said I would report this to her manager and had to argue with her insisting that she reopen her register. She called her boss and was told to check me out with a credit card. She never announced at 9PM like every other Goodwill to bring final your final purchases to the front. She lied to her boss that it was 9:01 PM when I arrived at the register. Pretty sad considering my money pays her paycheck. I had 14 items and my receipt shows 9:03:53 PM. I had to argue with her for a few minutes at 9:00 PM. Clearly she closed out her drawer before 9:00PM. Next time I will hurry faster but still there is no excuse for such treatment. She should NOT be managing and would be better suited not working with customers!

Higher prices than their old location (I guess they had to make up for the rent difference?) Childrens books priced the same as adult so they dont seem to sell well and are impossible to sort through because of the clutter. Prices are often disputed and changed at the register if they dont think the price is high enough. Once they tried to charge us 2 prices for a one piece vintage video controller. Their argument was that there were 2 controls, and I said that didnt matter as it was 1 piece that could not be separated. So knowing I wanted it, the manager copped quite an attitude, and not until after I asked her for HER managers number did I get it for the price listed on the item. Employee turnover is high but the cashiers are usually pleasant and friendly.

A big store with tons of merch. But one time they literally made me come back 24 hours later because this backpack I wanted didnt have a price on it. They refused to have someone price it saying that they had to wait for that crew to come back in the morning. Neither would they hold it for me. In the morning when I came back, they wouldnt have someone from that crew get the backpack from the back room and price it for me. I just had to wait and check every dumpster thing as it came out. After about a half hour someone took pity on me and found it. They told me not to worry. It would be out soon. Yep. Still didnt get it for me. 45 minutes it took. True story.

This place is a wreck! Most of the staff are rude and the prices are high and inconsistent. You can look at two exact items and see two different prices. Speaking of the prices, they keep going up. Why have high prices on items that you get for free? So they can keep paying the employees crap wages? $5.19 for a clear glass vase is ridiculous. $15.20 for a non-working stereo? Really? They wonder why the shelves stay full of crap, the sales are down, and they barely meet sales goals on 1/2 price holiday sales. Try lowering ALL of your prices and your stuff might actually sell.

I go to the Yuba City Goodwill all the time. There is always something new on any day of the week. I can honestly say recently starting over in a new apt I was able to decorate it quite nicely on a tight budget. Also they have a nice selection of books for kids and Ive been able to start a small library at home for my daughter. So if your on a budget and not to snobby to look through other peoples discarded stuff than this place is for you.

Their tags for the size is not properly right. They need To know suits are different in sizes than regular pants. Goodwill are high in pricing than other thrifts store. I will just donate this to Salvation Army not to them . GRRR..,,,,, no consideration. Im not asking my money back but to get another size .

I visited in hopes of buying a floor lamp, but had no luck. Though, they had many sizes & styles of both ones for desk/table tops and lampshades. The store is pretty big, decent variety, and great organization in the sections, which is where many thrift shops tend to neglect. I will definitely be back!

Recently partially remodeled. Pricing is inconsistent and the store shelves can be very disorganized so expect to hunt a bit if youre looking for something in particular. Some staff are great and friendly while others are not.

Went to buy an item, as I entered an employee welcomed me. As I asked for what I was looking for another employee helped me. In a matter of minutes, I found what I was looking for. Thanks to these helpful staff.

There prices have sky rocketed, really sad. Sure not there for the people. There shelves are a mess. I have cut myself more times than I want to remember. To bad I love to shop at second hand stores.

This location has some pretty awesome finds, but the variety and selection could be better in the mens department. Parking is convenient and the staff is friendly.

You can get some bomb ties here, love to go and check out all the stuff! Thrift shopping is a lot of fun this place is close to home and always smells of roses

Prices are decent but watch your bags at check out the cashiers like to have u pay for stuff but hide it or keep bags from you. So pay attention to that!!!
