We called into the store in the morning, around 11:30am. I Asked them to hold two pairs of boots for us until we came in. I asked if it would be any problem if we came in that afternoon, and they said that was fine. They asked for my name and said they would be on hold. I went in three hours later to pick them up, after driving from over an hour away, and they told me they had sold! I asked why they sold them if they were on hold for me, and they just said "they were". I was told there was no way for them to get a hold of me, and that another customer wanted them. So, rather than wait a few hours or take the other customers name in case I did not show up, they SOLD THEM! "Why would you hold them if you did not plan on selling them to me," I asked. They just said, sorry, we cant do anything for you. The sales employees and the "owner" were extremely rude and condescending. They offered no reason as to why they were sold. These boots were for a Make-A-Wish Foundation benefit, and they really didnt seem to care that I driven two hours round-trip for nothing! Needless to say, I will NEVER be visiting this business again, and will make sure that EVERYONE knows about it.

The quality of the shoes are excellent however i cant say the same for its customer service. Some of the staff is very condescending and just plain rude. This is on top of the fact that they never answer their phone amd they dont have any sense of urgency when assiting their customers. Ive been in this store countless times and each time it was the same with these employes. There is no order and if u can manage to get assistance from one of the staff membors they take forever just to assist you...... If it wasnt for the quality of the shoes and the stores convienance i wouldnt even bother with village shoes.

September 2010 - I called for a pair of Ugg Classic Tall Womens Boots Size 6 in Seashell Rose. They held it for me for 24 hours. The gentlemen who assisted me the next day was extremely knowledgeable, timely, and professional. I only wish I could have asked for his name. He even helped me with my two-year-old daughter and her Crocs. I purchased them for her and another pair for my son (Buy one get one for a penny!). On top of that, the gentleman gave me a $40 cash card for October 2010. He was very patient and the shoe selection is pretty good. Definitely recommend.

Village Shoes has always been helpful like any girl I love shoes and stopping in at Village is so much fun. Im always cordially greeted and pleasantly pleased with the "at the moment discounts" I seem to get there at the right time. Great selection of shoes too.
