Every time I visit Goodwill I leave feeling used, ripped off, feeling like a fool for even going there thinking they may have what I need for a fair or decent price. They are given most of their stock by donation. I feel angry that they then take these free items and Mark them up to almost the brand new price. I understand that they have to pay bills and some employees that arent volunteer, I get that. But they are non profit right? How can anyone in their right mind say they are not making a killing on this business? I dont see where the money is being disbursed back into the community. Come on. Whats the name of the bank accounts these funds are entering? Im guessing they are over seas. Its BS. And no one ever says anything about it. In my opinion Goodwill should not be allowed to be classified as a non profit. They shouldnt get any special help from the community. In fact, maybe they should pay the community for their donations. Either by cash or Goodwill purchases. Then I wouldnt feel so bad about them.

Im not sure how "jack"s comment could possibly be true. Ive been to many Goodwill stores across the country and the new Hudson, WI Goodwill store is my "home" store. Its not remotely "filthy" and is in fact even cleaner than most Goodwill stores, which by typical standards of thrift stores are already significantly cleaner. Ive never seen cluttered aisles at this or any other Goodwill store. Entries are often clean of snow and ice even before the weather passes, as I have experienced at the Hudson store myself. Regarding staff, my experience also stands in stark contrast to "jack"s. Goodwill staff is typically quite friendly, and the Hudson stores staff has proven to be responsive and good natured every time Ive visited. Im saddened by "jack"s review of his experience, because my experience with this and most other Goodwill stores is exactly opposite. In contrast to Hudsons other thrift store (just a few blocks away), this one is a treasure.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL!!! The store was filthy, items on the shelves were disorganized and cluttered. The employees were rude and unhelpful and pestering my family and I while we shopped. The prices were outrageous for the low quality of the products. I had to walk over numerous of items that were left on the floor which created at walking hazard.I stood in line for 10 minutes waiting for the cashier to get off the phone. When I asked the cashier for the hours of the store, She simply told me"Cant you read?,Its on our door as you walk in!" Sidewalk wasnt even shoveled or even salted. My two year old daughter fell outside, I went back in the store to tell the manager that they need to salt the sidewalk, her response was" It is not my job to salt the sidewalk.:I will never give them my business again. Good luck to anyone who shops there.

I love this store!!! I stop in 3-5 times a week because they always have something for a really good price. As for the dude “Jack” that left such a negative review…it sounds like lies to me! As I said I visit this store 3-5 times a week. The store is VERY clean. The employees ALWAYS go out of their way to help you. I have NEVER seen items lying on the floor that could cause an accident. The side walk IS ALWAYS shoveled in the winter. My guess is much like the other persons comment…”Jack” must have confused Goodwill with the thrift store that was formerly in Plaza 94. That store was terrible and is now out of business. Don’t believe “jack”, go check it out for yourself. This Goodwill is a great place to shop. I visit all 4 in the area and would say the Hudson location is the nicest of them all. “Jack” don’t know “Jack”!

Ive always had good experiences at this Goodwill, however on one occasion I found a piece of furniture in the back that I liked and followed the instructions on the sticker that read to tear off the bottom portion and leave the top attached to the furniture. Take the bottom portion to the cashier and then I could drive around and pick up the piece. However when I was checking out a woman on the other side of the counter had the other side of the ticket and since her cashier had already typed in the keys the manager allowed her to take the furniture. Even after admitting that the sticker read to do exactly as I had done. I left very unhappy.

As a former employee, I recommend shopping at a different location. As for working there, Ive experienced managers to be very condescending towards other employees in front of customers.managers have been known to take merchandise home without paying for them. I witnessed a manager steal money from the cash register and fire another innocent cashier. There are employees who smoke pot and do meth outside in the back. There is nothing but criminals activity that goes on behind those close doors, from theft, drugs, blackmail, extortion, managers having sex with employees in the office. This place needs to be investigated.

In the past year, this Goodwill location has raised its prices, limited what a donation coupon can be used for, and is using high eBay for some of the more collectible items that show up in the store. While I do think they should charge a higher price for some items, salvage items from the local Target are sometimes more than they were while at Target, and cannot have coupons applied. I would say this is a change in corporate policy, but some other Goodwill stores nearby do not have the outrageous prices and offer a better selection for less.

I was very pleased with my experience here! They had an excellent selection of clothes. My friend and I spent hours in here and had some very great finds! The ultimate reason why Im so pleased with this store is because I forgot one of my bags with 5 items in it, and they shipped it to me because I live out of town! The staff was friendly and had great customer service, and I will definitely shop here again if I am ever passing through Hudson!

I probably swoop through at least once a week. Looking for that FIND. One mans junk is another mans treasure. First off, staff says dumb unfiltered stuff. And I HATE when they ask if I want to round-up my total. Its a guilt trip and they have no Idea how many things Ive donated over the years. Maybe if the overpaid CEO of this non-profit matched my donation out of his salary, bonuses and expense account, I might consider it.

Apparently this place has forgotten that they are a thrift store. In addition, they are also clearly doubling as Targets Castaway Center for Misfit Merchandise. $30 for a flower pot and $9 for a t-shirt are prices I wont even pay at Target, much less a thrift store. Nonetheless the staff are very nice and there are an occasional deal if you care to dig deep into the shelves.

I always enjoy my visits here- a brand new facility, lots of good deals. Like any thrift store there are days things get messy due to unattended children and people rummaging around- but 9 times out of 10 this place is spotless, and the crew there is always great. Overall this is consistently a top-flight Goodwill IMHO. 100% recommended. Go there, its worth it.
