After buying a pair of hiking boots from a Big 5 in Medford, OR, I did not get a chance to do any serious hiking in them for 5 weeks. When I did so, I found they hurt my toes, something I had not experienced while trying them on in the store. Without a sales slip, and having missed the 30-day return guarantee, I spoke with the manager about my situation. He trusted my word (2 days later I found the sales slip and took it to him) and gave me full credit toward another pair. With service like this, my wife says we are shopping at Big 5 for all our shoe needs. Thank you, sir!

Not a very large store, lots of team sporting goods for kids and some great bargains from the sale ads on seasonal equipment, and a decent selection of shoes. If youre a serious hunter, fisherman or camper go to a specialty store for better selection and prices.

Got a fishing pole, reel, and fishing license. Ann helped us get what we needed and answered every question we had on fishing and fishing locations in our area. Very happy with our visit. On bad thing, we left without the fishing hooks.
