I ordered flowers, chocolate covered cherries and a balloon for my girlfriends birthday to be delivered to her work. When the guy delivering the flowers arrived my gf and all her co-workers thought she had a problem on her hands and was ready to call the cops. His appearance was so unkept, long beard, smelled of cigarettes, and wasnt exactly a cheery person. I dont their spokesman, who is by default, the delivery driver should leave an impression like that. Flowers should be the first and only impression that is made. The flowers were ok. They werent the deep purple tulips that I bought, they were pale and had yellowish stems. The flowers never opened and as of today, 4 days later, they are dead. My gf is a trained florist who works pt in a pharmacy so she knows how to take care of flowers, and these werent healthy when she got them. She also got flowers from her mother via 1-800-FLOWERS and they have actually GROWN! They are standing straight up, are in full bloom and are absolutely gorgeous!! I ordered locally to try to support small businesses, but I will never again order from Flower Lady. Same money, less quality and the first thing my gf said was that the delivery driver was stinky, and kind of scared her. Never again will that be the impression she gets when she gets flowers from me. Id give her a zero but the lowest I can give is a 1. Almost forgot that the bow appeared to be tied by a 5 year old, wasnt straight and looked a mess. The card she wrote also had 3 misspellings, as it is hand written instead of just typing what I wrote correctly.

I usually focus in being positive and polite even towards businesses that dont meet my expectations when it comes to review them. I dislike writing one star reviews but I got such horrible service at this place I cant hold back this time. Before I go on with my review, I want to state that I know how hard it is to work in retail. I often cut people some slack as it is, perhaps, one of the most difficult things to do. It requieres a lot of patience and resilience and I truly admire those who work it. I dont know if this terrible experience had to do with the fact that I came in on a Monday morning and the staff had a day off. No one replied to my greeting and they looked at me as I was an annoying interruption. I asked for a plant I saw by the sidewalk and the lady who barked at me (that wasnt talking) treated me with such rudeness and disdain I almost left. I kept my cool, practicing the "do unto others as you would have others do unto you" and kept a nice attitude. I then asked for care instructions and was talked down to. Her tone was insulting and unacceptable. I cant believe I went on and paid $20 for a plant. I feel stupid and insulted and left on the verge of tears (yes, it was THAT bad). And what bothers me the most is that this business is in my neighborhood, where people are usually incredibly nice. I will NEVER go back to this place again or recommend it to my clients. Last thing I want is anyone being treated in what has been the most unkind and rude way Ive ever experienced in Seattle.

I received my Valentines Day flowers today (on V Day) at......9:10pm, despite the fact that they were ordered yesterday before 5pm. The person who ordered them called several times between 6 and the delivery time to find out where they were, was told it was going to be a few minutes, and then we waited another hour. The flowers I received look like they have been dug up out of a left over bin, both wilting and missing several components. The balloon that was ordered did not show up at all. The card in the flowers was written out by a hurried hand, messy and hardly readable. The vase was unbelievably tacky and cheap looking. A $70+ order looked like it was gotten from a dying garden at grandmas house. On top of it, the delivery person said he wasnt given a balloon but he would go to the truck and get one. Needlessly said, he never came back. When we called to complain, we were told that they can come and pick up the flowers for a full refund (at 10pm on Valentines Day, really??) or we could settle for 1/2 off. After several minutes of defensive excuses, we were told that they the flowers provided were "substitutions". While the receipt does says substitutions could occur if the flowers are not available, they are supposed to be of equal value. "Equal value" did not happen either. All in all, horrible experience that made me want to cry. Will never order from again.

I was very disappointed w/ the flower lady. It was my first time sending flowers via phone order. It was first valentines day sober and having enough money to send my fiance and daughter something special. I chose the flower lady because of the great reviews. I ordered my daughter pink roses and a bear and the customer service rep garaunteed they would be delivered by 3 (before school was out). 3:30 I call my daughter expecting to hear how she loved the gift, instead she said she didnt receive anything and even went to check the office to make sure. I called and cancelled w/ no problem. I also ordered a bouquet for my fiance. When they finally arrived they were completely wrong and the card was written so sloppy and insincerely I thought she received flowers from another man. When I called and complained she gave me excuse after excuse and acted as if ibwas wrong and at fault. She said I said sorry and Ive refunded ur money w/ an attitude then proceeded to hang up in my face..... she ruined my surprise for the two most important womean in my life.....

I ordered flowers for my finance for Valentines Day (1 day early) since it was supposed to be a surprise for her and she doesnt work Saturday. I figured since they are open 8 to 10 am each day they will arrive around 12pm or 1 pm since they are literally across the street from where she works. Instead I had to call them three times to get them delivered and they forgot the chocolates, which she had to walk over there to pick them up as Im pretty upset about this. They claimed my order came in around 2 pm today (2/13/15) when I ordered them 2-2-15 @ 11 am. I even got a confirmation call on the 2nd at 11 am making sure what I wanted on the card was accurate. I am very surprised by this level of service and equate it to a more Midwest style that I had experienced when I lived in SD(South Dakota) rather than Seattle. I wont be doing business with them again.

The flower ladys service is beyond appreciation; Im so extremely happy with the service they provided, and thoroughly grateful! Not knowing Bellevue and Seattle are quite far away in distance, I placed an order to be delivered in Bellevue. I was also unaware of the fact that such orders need to be placed a day before the delivery date. Nevertheless, upon my request that the flowers had to be delivered the same day, they went out of their way to make it happen. I had placed the order from Los Angeles and their team was so supportive and understanding anytime I called them to check the status of the flowers. Also, the flowers were gorgeous and its price was just right! P.S: The beautiful flowers reached my close friend in time, surprised her and made her extremely happy on her bday! THANK YOU SO MUCH! =)
