As most brides are, I was extremely excited when I purchased my wedding dress at "I Do Bridal" in downtown Seattle. Thrilled about the opportunity to get my dress sized after purchasing, I made a follow up appointment with Darcy for alterations. Arriving for my scheduled appointment, I was informed that there are actually two different locations, and that I would need to drive up to Lynnwood to get my dress altered at her location. She was not willing to wait for my arrival so I rescheduled. I scheduled an appointment with her for a few days later and unfortunately got lost on the way. I called her as soon as I saw I was lost, to let her know that I was no more than 5-10 minutes away. She said that I would need to reschedule with her for another day. I said that I was very sorry and so close that I still wanted to come. She said no. Having tried to get my dress altered twice through Darcy, I will be taking my business elsewhere. During my conversation with Darcy she said that I owed her an apology for missing the first appointment and for getting lost on my way to the second appointment. I told her I did apologize and she said that I was the only person in 22 years to make this mistake. The conversation was like walking around in circles without her saying anything besides I was the only one to go to the wrong location and she couldnt wait ten minutes for me. My experience through this company was not only horrible but I got home in tears. I should not feel demeaned. Darcy damages the reputation of this company.

So I went in their the first time about Sept of last year with my maid of honor just to look. We set up appointments, they were extremely busy and a very small boutique yet they got us right in and even combined 2 rooms for us. we had 2 consultants and they were very helpful zipping and pulling and clinching. They didnt have the specific dress I wanted but explained I could order it. Well a few months passed and we finally set a date for the wedding and needed to get my dress! We went back and they told me there was no way they were gonna be able to get it because it was on back order till May! They went back and forth with the vendor and finally got me the dress! It was to be delivered 2 wks before my wedding (stressful) but this is the dress I have wanted from day one from a magazine that I never tried on..my dream dress!!! well the dress came in a month early! they stayed in contact with me the whole time during the waiting period (3 months). I went to pick my dress up last saturday and when I walked in everyone in the store was so excited for me.Everyone knew my name and welcomed me into the store! the whole staff remembered my story about picking it from a magazine and never trying it on. Needless to say the dress was AMAZING! They fitted me for it perfect! I got my dream dress thanks to I Do Bridal. Its small in there! but their customer service is huge!

I Do Bridal was the last bridal store I visited, and by that point, Id seen a range of service and selection. Unlike other shops, I went here on my own, and I was nervous about how things would go without a friend for feedback. I neednt have worried. The woman helping me was very friendly and easy to talk to as well as very good at choosing gowns and helping me try them on. I probably tried on 25 dresses in an hour and a half. The shop is fairly big, and they have a fantastic selection of dresses between $700 and $1400. They have lots of great dresses under $1K - Id say the majority of dresses I tried on were under $1000. I ended up buying my dress at La Belle Elaines simply because that is where I found a dress I liked the most, but I can recommend I Do Bridal for sure. Make sure you stop there early in your dress search. My only complaint is that they did not allow photography. Photography was allowed in each of the other three shops I visited, and I frankly think its a ridiculous policy. I can understand not allowing it for some designers, but most of the designers I tried on have photographs of their dresses online, and its very helpful to have a picture of yourself in a dress when choosing. For some reason it looks a bit different than seeing yourself in the mirror.

I made my first appointment to try on wedding gowns at I Do Bridal. And Ill start by saying I wouldnt recommend anyone to do this. It was not at all the way I had pictured the experience. My consultant was in no way interested in helping me find a dress, and she didnt. My family pulled every dress for me. She rushed me in and out of every one I tried on, not bothering to correctly clip it or make sure it was even on straight. The store was extremely crowded, at times when I came out of the dressing room I didnt have a place to view myself. And this was all within the hour appointment that I only got 45 minutes of. After all this mess I did end up finding the dress I loved, after I was done trying on dresses I asked to try on the dress I thought was the one. My consultant wouldnt allow it, said I needed to make another appointment if I wanted to try it on again. And I live an hour south of Seattle. So at the end of the day, I decided to drive the 2.5 hours down to Portland and visited Charlottes Weddings, they were amazing and I bought the same dress from them. If Niki at I Do Bridal would have provided me even 5% more effort and attention they would have made a $2,000 dollar dress sale that day. Their loss.

I shopped at I Do Bridal for a wedding dress last weekend. While this is not where I ultimately bought my dress (I ended up purchasing at their sister store, I Do Bridal Too), the service at I Do Bridal was fantastic and their dress selection was superb. I was trying to stick to an under $1,000 budget, and I Do Bridal had MANY stunning dresses that were in the $700-$800 price range. Most of the ones we picked to try on were under $1,000 anyway! I worked with Caitlin who was fun and very helpful. I had just come from a far less than perfect experience at BHLDN and was a bit bummed about my search, and Caitlin certainly turned that around for us. They also had quite the selection of accessories - jewelry, belts, etc. Really lovely items. They had a pair of blue earrings there that, while a tad pricey, were unlike any I had seen. My only tip would be to search for your dress many months in advance. As my wedding is in May, I knew I would be cutting it close. Had I ended up buying a dress through I Do Bridal, I likely would have had to pay for rush ordering / shipping. This is my fault thought, not I Do Bridals. I knew I had given myself a pretty tight timeline. Thanks, I Do Bridal!

I Do Bridal was the 3rd shop I had visited and the differences came before I walked in the door. They worked with me via email and phone to get an appointment scheduled that worked with my needs. When I walked in I realized I was their last appointment of the day. The girls were all excited to work with me, and couldnt wait to show me what their shop had to offer. While in other shops the attendants either leave to find your way through the store, or wont let you touch any of the dresses, this shop allows you to browse all their dresses with the assistance of their consultants. Once my dressing room was bursting with dresses, she assisted me in getting into each gown and allowed my family and I to talk about it without feeling rushed. I know the shop had to stay open later than usual to allow me to finish deciding which dress I loved most, which was difficult because they were all so beautiful! But I never felt like she was pushing me towards a dress, she let me come to the decision on my own. I felt like a princess the way they treated me. The only downside to the shop is that they do not have an in-store seamstress.
