This particular walmart is hard to find and because of the construction, cars were circling all around the block looking for the single entrance. Once found, the entrance was filled with standing traffic which was the start of a long line of stopped cars waiting for parking. Although most neighboring businesses had crafted counter measures to prevent me from doing so, I parked nearby and hiked into the walmart parking lot. When I got in line to make my return, the woman next to me started talking to me which caught me off guard. She said "Im so happy Im an American. When I get to the front of this line, I dont know what it will take, but I know I will have whatever it takes." I was pondering to myself whether that could be the weirdest thing I had ever heard. But, as we stood there in line together, overhearing everyones communications at the counter, it was becoming clear to me that, making a return, or what seemed like a simple task to me, was not so for so many. There were four registers open, but each guest was spending 5-15 minutes at the desk, so the line moved very slowly. 15 minutes later, it was my turn. The little woman at the register (probably in her 70s or 80s) looked up and greeted me with a smile (that was somehow shapped like a frown, but I could tell it was a smile). I walked up to the desk and smiled back. I hesitated. I had prepared a joke I was going to deliver, but all of the sudden I lacked the courage. So, I just said "I was going to tell you I bought this at Best Buy, but wanted to return it here". She laughed and laughed and cackled. Then she started speaking really fast in a language I didnt understand and she talked to me for a couple minutes. She seemed so friendly and happy, she said so much in those two minutes, but I didnt understand a thing. She was so happy and loving, I could have listened to her for hours. I just smiled and shared in her laughter. I gave her my receipt and the Ipod I was returning and she kept on talking to me while she went through what looked like a normal return procedure. She reviewed my receipt and checked out the item, scanned it, made sure everything was in the box, etc. There was a 15 day return policy and she had to affirm I met this criteria, so she flipped over the receipt and wrote out 31 minus 17, she wrote 4 below the line and scratched out the 3 in 31, but then she got stuck. I said, its 14, but it was clear she needed to figure this out on her own. We stood there together for a couple minutes while she stared at that subtraction problem and I stared with her. Then she looked around for help. The first person to walk over threw her hands up in the air immediately and shouted for some one else. Then, a small crowd of employees slowly gathered around her, all staring at the subtraction problem 31 minus 17, with four of them and myself all looking at the same thing, I noticed other customers and staff starting to be interested... Then a manager swooped in and shewed everyone else back to their own tasks. The manager slowly counted it out on her fingers (which would have been easier if anyone in the group had 31 fingers...), but eventually she approved the return. They were all friendly and committed, and, all in, It took ~6 people 8.5 minutes at the customer service counter to subtract 17 from 31. I fell in love with that service representative. I also learned that I should budget ~30 minutes for a return at walmart. If you are looking for a small cultural adventure, youre in the right place. Unfortunately, while I liked it, I cant recommend this to everyone and before I do return to walmart, I will first shift my expectations to look for something beyond what I had previously looked for in a shopping experience.

I dont often write reviews on Yelp - however, I thought this needs some attention. My wife wanted to take me fishing for fathers day, so we decided to stop at this Wal-Mart since it was conveniently close to I-90 and we could just hop on the freeway after we grab some worms and whatnot. I waited 25 minutes in a 2 person line while they got their keys copied. Im not mad about that, but once its my turn I walk up and ask her for 2 freshwater licenses, the lady tells me the only person that can print the licenses is on break and shell be back in 5 minutes. No worries, people need their breaks. I get that. 20 minutes later I decide to muster up the courage to ask the lady how much longer it will be. Mind you, im extremely non-confrontational and far more passive then I should be. She told me she would go and find her. Meanwhile, my 1 year old daughter has been sitting in the same spot for 40 minutes and of course she is at this point getting very fussy, so my wife took her and got some snacks. Meanwhile the original lady came back with the license lady who was clearly pissed off. I apologized and thanked her. She said nothing. My wife strolled up, told her I was buying hers too, she added her license to the order. She literally yanked the ID out of our hands. Still, kept my non-confrontational attitude. The whole time she never made eye contact with us, she never responded when I told her thank you each time we would exchange a receipt/ids. Okay so we get through the grumpy lady and proceed to check out. We waited in the express lane for 25 minutes. Yes, 25 minutes. Express lane. All said and done we got a much later start to the fishing day but we were still excited to go. Once we arrive out our location near Cle- Elum, I rig my pole and prep to start casting annddd guess what, all of our worms were decomposing. Like, dead for well over 2 weeks. It was disgusting. Overall, awful experience. I will not be shopping at this location again.

Okay prices thats it besides that this wally world is a Zoo. Actually great place to people watch amazing what some peeps do when in a walmart especially this one, like its almost just about but not quite the end of times, every one fend for them self, anyways my last experience at this walmart was ridiculous. While waiting in my car for family to get done shopping I fell asleep with a lighter and pack of cigarettes on my lap and a walmart employee rudely woke me up through my window and said he had called the police and accused me of doing drugs and having them on my possession. Guess he mistook my Zippo for a bong or a cigarette for a crack pipe maybe, very big maybe, its possible right... After speaking with the officer my car and I bring searched and proving that the accusations were false the employee didnt even apologize. The officer did the walmart employee didnt experience was unbelievable, great times great times. They lost my business and my familys. Will only go there if its an absolute must. After reading reviews of this shack they call a walmart I guess yea maybe they should have some employees roaming around the parking lot just to keep tabs on the safety and security of peeps and their property that guy maybe tried just a little too hard to do his job I guess I should give him that sounds like he might be employee of the month in that regard though he failed miserably especially after giving me a nudge through my window thats what really is getting to me. In the end with this many bad reviews that all seem to be consistent in their complaints and over such a long time period how is it that nothing has been done like tearing this cracker box down, or at least some service and how to interact with customers training Unbelievable.
